matt11mz
I've proposed variations of this, but given the NPE subforum, here's my shot at trying to actually reach DE with it: If you have a duplicate variation of a mod with lower capacity, then if a mod has to be removed from Forma or Fusion, it should attempt to replace itself with a weaker version. Fusion would group all the changes on one screen (if nothing else, this should all be on one screen anyway), showing the new replacement mod's rank. You would still have the option to cancel if you want to keep the mods. It will always try to equip the strongest useable version. Forma wouldn't give you a breakdown, just a warning. Functionally, it goes left to right, top to bottom, attempting to keep or replace mods. The goal would be to keep as many mods as possible with as high capacity as possible, with "earlier" mods having priority to stay in the event of needing to still remove mods, and priority over the capacity limit. Neither of these use similar mod types, only variants. (Prime Pressure Point, Sacrificial Pressure, and Flawed Pressure Point are all the same mod, but Rage and Hunter Adrenaline are not despite similar roles.) Here's some example notifications that this system would give: Fusion: Warning: 5 of 7 weapon configs do not have the capacity to use Galvanized Chamber (Rank 10) Here is a list of changes that would be made: Cernos Prime - Config A: Split Chamber (Rank 0) Cernos Prime - Config B: Split Chamber (Rank 0) Baza - Config A: Removed Amprex - Config A: Split Chamber (Rank 5) Amprex - Config B: Split Chamber (Rank 0) Forma: Warning: this will reset your weapon to unranked, some mods may be replaced by weaker copies due to lower capacity.
