Cerikus
I like to watch streamers go through the early progression and almost always they get confused at certain points, because there are major holes in narrative of the main storyline. Any new player must encounter the same issues. Obviously fixing these would be a huge effort, but I think it would be worth it. - Natah: First time player encounters Teshin. The narrative expects players to know him, but they don't, because past events are not in-game. There should be a small quest that introduces Teshin as our mentor after Vor's prize. Let Teshin guide new players through the starchart from Earth to Uranus. It would mirror Drifters journey in Duviri and give players a good narrative baseline. - Second dream: Same as Teshin in Natah, but Alad V. Players have no idea who he is and what the relation ship is. There needs to be something that will introduce him as an antagonist to the Tenno. Solution - same as above. Part of the Teshin quest should be an introduction of Alad and explaining his character and goals. - Prelude to war: There are way to many problems there. Chimera makes no sense and we have to do mind gymnastics to force it to make sense. There are unanswered questions about Erra and his first death. The portrayal of Ballas also makes no sense accross all three cutsenes. It is obvious that since the preludes were releasing over several years, the New war narrative was not finalized and things were changing, but nobody returned to clean up these cutscenes. We need a director's cut of those. - Small nitpicks: - Once awake: Lotus acts like the infested shouldn't exist, when Eris is a thing and Infestation is still alive in the outer collonies. - Heart of Deimos before Archwing: Currently the players are guided from Mars junction to Deimos and then to Ceres, which means most players do Heart of Deimos before Archwing, but Archwing is used in a cutscene, when players are first landing on Deimos. Small continuity error.

dwqrf
il y a 4 minutes, Quest a dit : can't the earth and venus dark sectors also be played before infestation is supposed to be introduced via the quest Imagine if before the beginning of the story the Grineers found something lost to time with some ancient technology in it, being infested by a virus. Ho wait, that's the opening cinematic. il y a 20 minutes, Cerikus a dit : Alad V. Players have no idea who he is and what the relation ship is. There needs to be something that will introduce him as an antagonist to the Tenno. There is Jupiter. il y a 21 minutes, Cerikus a dit : - Heart of Deimos before Archwing: Currently the players are guided from Mars junction to Deimos and then to Ceres, which means most players do Heart of Deimos before Archwing, but Archwing is used in a cutscene, when players are first landing on Deimos. Small continuity error. Archwing quest is given straight in Earth->Mars Junction, and of course, you should do it first before reaching Deimos. il y a 22 minutes, Cerikus a dit : The portrayal of Ballas also makes no sense accross all three cutsenes. It does. It's a metaphor.
Firefrye
I am one of those players who falls into the camp that believes that DE should go back and find the audio files from old events to either re-record them or in some capacity reuse them for a series of mini-quests allowing players to experience the story of those events. Tie them to the planets they took place on and have them unlock as they reach the portions of the story where they were set. A few of them, like the ones involving Alad V and Teshin, should probably be required quests for exiting the junctions of those planets. While others would make more sense for unlocking access to the *boss nodes* of those planets by introducing players to the character through a quest (explaining who they are and why they're in charge of this planet or why we need to kill them now). Another pair of specific events that I believe are *critical* to the overall story would be the Orphix Venom and Scarlet Spear quests, because they represent the *actual* prelude to the New War and introduce players to the actual *threats* the sentients pose. These quests should become available as optional quests at the end of the Sacrifice with a line or two of text in the New War Prologue quest screen pointing to them as optional story content. Or just make them required. You already have to build both the Railjack and the Necramech, so putting the Scarlet spear and Orphix Venom quests just after Rising Tide would make sense and provide a better justification for building/modding those items than their VERY minimal cameos in the New War itself. Sure, Scarlet Spear was originally implemented as a 2-part simultaneous mission... but this could easily be reworked to having the player run the "ground portion" until they experience all the dialogue on Earth and then have a separate mission where they then use the codes they just earned to go finish the "space portion." This would likely take a while to implement, but I would love to see short form "story recovery" quests slowly added to the game over time. Elaynah
I remember playing through the Natah quest and talking to veteran friends at the time, and as soon as Teshin appeared and my character reacted to him, I asked them "Why is the game acting like I am supposed to know him? Am I supposed to know him? Did I miss something?" It's strange indeed and I agree that there should be some form of introduction to him - if nothing to make the quest itself even more impactful
Someoneiguess24
while they're at it at least give us a reason for why alad v comes back from the dead no less than 3 times
matt11mz
Prelude seems fine to me. I will die on the hill that Ballas was written perfectly, and any misunderstanding comes down to falling for Ballas's trick. Erra's death seems like something that will be covered with the Archons and Narmer. The rest, I agree with. Edited September 20 by matt11mz Forgot to mention I agree with some of your take.
Gurkul
I love to have questions in the devoppement, it give a good hook. Warframe lore is not a brain dead story, it always put a lots of question in your head, i hope it's stay the same. But for tenshin, I agree, there could be more of him :)
Fishcal
Having knowledge of how the Duviri/Drifter/Second Dream story quest is supposed to go when it was introduced as new content (I was watching my friend play it at the time) and going through the whole thing by myself around a month ago, Duviri feels like it was introduced way too early for the Drifter/Second Dream to make sense. Chronologically it should happen sometime in the Second Dream, and I get why devs don't want to break apart second dream because it's already long and involved, but being able to unlock Duviri much earlier than second dream (because it's not tied to story quest progression) makes the story unnecessarily convoluted, even as a side-story.
