WaggishBean13 Posted October 1 Share Posted October 1 Citrine has been my main for several months now and she's an amazing mix between support and status spreader. Her kit is a little interesting; all but her 3 (Pristine Gem) can be used and taken advantage while moving through a map start to finish. Also, using her augment for her 4 and a good amount of range, she doesnt need to cast it all that often to have her crystals spread to new enemies only requiring a new cast here or there to re start the spreading crystal chain. Her ability that she's know for (apart from her 4 and my personal fav) is her 3: Prismatic Gem, this gem is more suited to holding down an area and damaging enemies within the aoe of the gem to take advantage of the status spreading of it. This ability reminds me of Mirage's Prism. Why do i say that Prism and Pristine gems are similar; Both are useful in a local area/room and deal constant damage, prism drains energy while bouncing, and Pristine gem requires enemies to be shot to activate the beams. But at the end of the day they deal damage in their aoe in a room. This that comparison out of the way my proposed Augment for Citrine is just like Mirage's Prism Guard. Here me out ok. Augment: Prismatic Convergence Citrine becomes the prismatic gem and can move freely while prismatic light emanates and targets enemies damaged by weapons and allies. Base ability range reduced to Xm (between 8m -10m, @ 235% range 18.8m to 23.5m) This augment is Citrine's version of Prism Guard, allowing citrine be fully mobile and still have the full effects of Prismatic Gem (and her allies). The reduced base range is to balance out the fact that the effects and aoe of the ability can move as she moves so the reduced range compensates for that. Meaning this augment allows her to be more aggressive in a run and gun playstyle, and removing the augment she can return back to a point defense damage anchor for objectives and rooms. i have some other ideas for her other abilities like, Casting Preserving shell cleanses and gives 1 second of invulnerability, or Recrystallize grants +1.0 flat crit damage bonus, or slows enemies by 30-50% when they get the spread crystals. Or an augment that gives the Prismatic gem either a small aoe effect on hits, or the gem gets punch through and auto targeting capabilities but a significant nerf to range or the amount of simultaneous beams. Im not really sure how balanced these other augment ideas are. However, I'm fairly happy with the Prismatic Gem Augment and how the reduction in base range balances it out. Thoughts, ideas, recommendations, or tweaks? It'd be cool if some of the under appreciated frames with no or only 1 augment could get more in future updates. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
