The arsenal should indicate if you've mastered a type before

Now it tells you if you've mastered a specific weapon, warframe, etc. but if you have a other copy of it that isn't leveled you can't see on it one that you've already mastered that type.

This is, of course, relevant as leveling a type again yields no mastery. Which is especially important if you don't have the mastered copy anymore as then you can't even look for that one to check.

For these reasons the foundry tells you if you've already mastered something before you build it, but sometimes you build multiple weapons to use as a component of another weapon, or another copy of a warframe to feed to the Helminth.
And this can lead to confusion in the arsenal, as if you aren't sorting by name and hence are seeing them next to each other it's easy to forget and miss that you've leveled something before.
This is more of an issue with weapons, as there are so many of them, but as the number of warframes grow it becomes easier and easier to forget which you've leveled there too.

I got two weapons: one is leveled, one is not leveled. Which one have I mastered? Hmm, hard question.

You are missing the point of not knowing that you have two. Either due to filtering or due to not having two anymore.

This would be more accurate: You see a level 0 weapon, have you mastered it before?
That is a hard question when you've leveled many hundreds of weapons.

Check your Profile.

ESC, mouseover your plauque in top left, show profile, Equipment, Sort by Progress or Name depending what is easier to find. click on the weapon category to filter the results further.

Not really. There are currently 749 items available and I have mastered fully 710* of them. I can check everything in my Profile, including those numbers.

* havent yet maxed Koumei and Higasa and not 5x Formad most lvl 40 items, missing a few tenets and kuva weapons as well.

That you felt the need to provide a step by step guide for how to check it just proves my point.

Besides, as this is about the arsenal checking it directly there is easier. Just sort by name and find it, or search for it.
