[DE]Taylor Posted November 13 Posted November 13 We've heard your feedback about the early game experience, and we're always looking for ways to make it even better for new Tenno! As part of our ongoing efforts, we're excited to launch a pilot program for our iOS players. We're exploring how giving new Tenno additional starting gear might affect their journey through the Origin System. Starting tomorrow, some new iOS players will have a chance to experience one of these scenarios after they finish the Awakening quest: Receive a different Warframe and some extra weapons right away, giving you more options to experiment with! Get blueprints that are already crafting for a new Warframe and weapons, and learn the ropes of the Foundry early on! Begin your journey as usual, and receive the Warframe and weapons a little later. No matter which experience you get, you're helping us make Warframe better for everyone! We'll be carefully looking at how these different starting points impact your journey. To keep things fair for everyone, those who don't receive the extra gear right away will get it after the pilot program ends. We're super excited about this and can't wait to hear what you think! Share your feedback with us here. Thanks for being a part of this journey and helping us make Warframe even better! 5
SP3CT3R7 Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Awesome, hopefully this makes the new player experience for Tenno a lot less aggravating. 1
Pickleshanks Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Once again, DE decides to make everything easier after I reached late game (started playing a little after Dagath came out) 🤣😂😀😭 1
Xemnes_Keyethkateth Posted November 13 Posted November 13 As a long term player I think option 2 sounds best for new players, it give some time to get used to the things they picked, then they can grab some new stuff from the foundry to play with, it also lets them know that they are getting some more stuff as they can see it crafting, maybe have a voice line or mail from Ordis saying that he started the crafting for you or something. My only question is why iOS? I assume this will be rolled out across all platforms and it just seems odd to me that it would be tested on iOS only. 1

Leo.doodling Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Two sounds best but nice to see additional tweaks, although I wonder how this works with the inventory limits 1
Twilight053 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 (edited) Two sounds absolutely best long term but the 3-day craft time will either make or break player expectations. If the frame crafting time is shortened to a day new players will be less likely to leave on sight Edited November 14 by Twilight053 1
(MOB)Lvii Posted November 16 Posted November 16 For us new players and playing on mobile, it’d be great if the game didn’t feel so tedious and grind-heavy during the first week. It’d help a lot if we could get early access to all frames, mods, equipment, and other in-game items for a few days or a week. This would let us figure out what’s worth farming or spending Platinum on, making the game more engaging and less frustrating—just by letting us try them out in the Simulacrum. We can’t use them outside the training room anyway, so it wouldn’t give us an unfair advantage. If you’re worried about people abusing this, you could even make it a 1-day access option we can pay for at low price and only 1 time per account. Small touches like this would make the game feel more accessible and fun for new players. 1
