rinzzlr Posted November 30 Posted November 30 As the title said, I personally would like to bring up these idea of Updating past content and systems to the modern standard, and a pretty good example of this is the Lich system. Recap: Lich system is where we get our Nemesis weapons, Kuva, Tenet and the upcoming Technocyte Coda ones (But they are delayed for a good reason). So, a very prominent issue already arises. When you play Sisters of Parvos content to get some of your Tenet weapons, well you build against your sister, and you will probably be bringing armor strip. So, if that is the case, how come Kuva Liches can't be armor stripped? They are pretty much the same system no? I think its also confusing for the fact that Kuva Liches can't be armor stripped but you can with the Sisters of Parvos, and maybe with the Codas you probably could if they have armor. That's one idea. I'm creating this thread so people can come around and suggest other past content and systems that they want to be updated. For me, this is one I want to be updated. Kuva Liches should be able to be armor-stripped just like the Sisters of Parvos.
AntifreezeUnder0 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Well then isnt the buggy one sirter of parvos, so fix should be adding un strippable armor for her. Similar we have on necramechs in disruption? Its not important to change the system now. And only thing which could come close to armor stripping them is having 2 tau shards for corrosive stacks and throw in pet which removes armor with attack. 1
Pakaku Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Never really paid attention to armour strip, I just bring their elemental weakness and it tends to be enough What they really should update is the initial grind, they could split the weapon pool into three lists, and assign them to the low/medium/high tier planets 1

I meant, I just bring any CC (usually cold, but sometimes impact / elec), and it’s good enough. 1 hour ago, Pakaku said: and assign them to the low/medium/high tier planets This is… arguably. For Lich (regular nodes), it’s impossible, under normal condition, to have candidate spawned in low tier planet (IIRC, Saturn is the earliest). For Sister, as the requirement requires Zenith Granum Coin, those not spawning T3 Treasurer isn’t ideal.

The spawning mechanics would obviously have to be changed, but it makes sense to me since planets already have difficulty tiers anyways. That, or start with Saturn and scale up from there Tenet liches are already taken care of because it doesn't actually matter what planet you spend the coin on, only that you spend a tier 3 coin

Which means, on regular occasion, one has to go back and forth to Pluto. Things will be different if all 3 Granum trigger sister (and weapons are based on used coins instead of planets)

This is exactly the Tower with prime part issue. Which lead to relic system. That has issue as well with vaulted rotation. We just have to wait until the Coda currency comes around. Gotta beta test the new system so DE can futureproof it somehow.

If it's anything like the holokey shop, and how agonizingly slowly it cycles weapon elements and bonus percentages, then I am really not looking forward to it

I sure as hell don't want to run the same mission 100 times just to get the weapon I want. It may even have bad percentage forcing me to run the entire lich hunt again.

Hyperbole aside (you don't run them hundreds of times if you completely finish the missions), some way to split the list into smaller chunks would reduce the grind, like what I suggested with splitting the list into 3 or more planet tiers If it works like the Holokey store, if you don't like what it offers you, you're forced to wait a week for it to reset, and even then you won't be guaranteed to get what you want. That's significantly more wasted time than just running a mission at most maybe a dozen times with the warframe of your choice Edited December 1 by Pakaku

That exactly like how relics operate currently. There's too much items in the loot pool. That's the reason why Vaulted Relic rotation is ongoing. We need a system that futureproof because the number of kuva weapons can only go up. The Coda weapon shop isn't ideal or perfect by any means. It just serves a purpose with less RNG.
FabiTheSnake Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I´d just like to add my bit concept for a better lich system; I really dislike how they are just a grind and throw-away. I´ve always felt like you should have an adversary and it stays for a while. I´d argue a second way to earn the weapons would be cool; First of Adversaries should just appear in the regular chart. Just like stalker, Zanuka etc. Or make it an Acolyte type of deal in steel-path. A; Lich and weapon should be seperate; you can max grind and kill your lich for Ephemera & weapon, or to convert them (with some new cool features), B option; new missions in a Spy/Interception/Survival/capture type could be added to discover the Lich´s Base coordinates (additionally confirming Requiem-mod order) and you´ll get the Lich asassination (still needs Requiem mods) Or you break into his armory to get the weapon, the latter causing the lich to swap weapons. Idea´s pretty much a reason to not kill the lich so he has time to actually grow in power invading you and getting killed/killing you, till you actually WANNA kill them, not have to do it for the grind. Even if we got almost everything, new players will have it a lot better.
