PSA: Steel Path Trophies on Höllvania - post Hotfix 38.0.1!

Hi Tenno,

We received many reports of players being unable to earn Steel Path trophies for Höllvania missions with Warframe: 1999’s release.

This is due to the way that Steel Path traditionally works: players must complete all nodes in a region before Steel Path becomes available. These Steel Path nodes were not restricted with Warframe: 1999’s release, meaning players could engage in Steel Path level content without it being marked as “complete” in the backend (resulting in no trophies or progress in your Profile). 

With Höllvania, the restrictions to access Steel Path do not exist, you get instant access once you complete the Quest. Unfortunately, you still need to complete these nodes on the Normal Path for the Steel Path progress to register. As of this evening’s hotfix we fixed an issue where Höllvania Central Mall was preventing this progress from being counted, so now you should be able to earn your trophies provided you have completed all of the missions on the Normal Path. 

To recap, post-hotfix access to Steel Path trophies will require the following steps:

• First: Players must complete all Höllvania nodes on the Normal Path (if you haven’t already -- playing them on the Steel Path does NOT count).
• Second: Players must re-play each Höllvania Steel Path mission for the completion to be registered. 

We understand this is a confusing set up and we may revisit how this is communicated in-game in the future when clearer and more well-rested heads prevail. Apologies for the confusion. Enjoy Warframe: 1999, Tenno!

 

UPDATE - APRIL 4, 2025: 

With the addition of the Solstice Square node in Techrot Encore, being able to complete 1999 Steel Path nodes became confusing once more. To remedy this, we have removed the requirement to complete Solstice Square on the Normal Path before Steel Path progress is tracked on your account. This change has been patched into the live build as of ~2pm ET today.

NOTE: Solstice Square is still required to earn Steel Path Trophies. 

 

UPDATE - DEC 18:

As of 38.0.5, we have added exclamation points to incomplete Steel Path nodes in the NavNow screen. This should give players a better idea if they have completed all Normal Path missions, as these exclamation points in Steel Path will not disappear until the node is marked "complete" for the Steel Path trophies.

• As a refresher, earning the 1999 Steel Path Trophy and Emote requires you to complete all missions on the Normal Path before any Steel Path node completion would count towards the Steel Path Trophy. This set-up is different from other Regions, and has led to a lot of confusion from players who have completed all of the Steel Path nodes but have not received the Trophy/Emote inbox. Changing the logic requires a Code Fix, which we unfortunately could not implement before the holidays, so this is our workaround for the time being. 
• Now, if you have NOT completed all missions on the Normal Path (and therefore cannot earn Trophy progress for the Steel Path nodes), this “!” icon should help indicate that your Steel Path progress is not being registered. With the aid of our PSA, players hopefully then know they are missing a Normal Path node that they must play for Steel Path progress to be registered. We know this is far from ideal, but we wanted to at least have some visual indication of “completion is not being registered” while we work on a better fix.

Now you can't even do the 1999 Winter TO DO list in SP missions either. I am still at 149/300 after doing nothing but melee in an SP mission for the new nodes. Before they didn't count in bounties, now that don't count at all.

 

And now it's working on the second mission.

Soon as I got the 1999 update today my chat has just had an infinite loading circle, and it worked just for a sec a few mins ago. Then when the hotfix came out it broke it again

How much node progress from before the hotfix counted?  No big deal if none of it counted, I just want to know for progress tracking since I cannot seem to comprehend the current completion indicators.

Did someone received the trophies? I completed them in normal first and now in steel path but nothing. I played in solo (except for the squad one) and from orbiter (cause from hollvania there was the no UI bug).
Update: I received the trophies. 😁

Also there's a bug in caliber chicks, I was stuck in 2nd loop 2nd stage cause platforms spawn was inverted in the sewer, had to give up. I don't know if it was fix with the hotfix.

Also I didn't earn conclave standing from steel path squad vs squad, and my team won. While I earned it in normal.

I am at 255/256 for the trophy. I already did Victory Plaza in SP before the patch but now we have failed 3 times in a row. Is it me or did it get way harder in SP now.

I’ve done all the nodes 4 times over and even did the pvp stuff amd nothing. I've been it for 5 hours and got no results back please fix this :(

Looks like Steel Path node progress only happens as host. As client, the nodes don't count toward completion (as seen in Profile > Stats).

 

Also, it does not seem like either regular or Steel Path nodes are awarding Mastery. Is that intended?

I don't think they updated the star chart progress. Mine was 256/256 before the update. You're probably missing something elsewhere but that doesn't count for the Hollvania SP trophies

why??????? I dont see the point of forcing me to go down over 100 levels to finish the quest, just lemme do it in steel path.  I hate normal mode, no enemies, no loot, no teamwork, its not fun going down there

I haven't finished the squad vs squad, nobody wants to play with it.

I did all the normal missions first before even touching steel path, and still didn't receive the rewards after completing all the steel path missions,

I've completed each normal node (including both pvpve nodes) and also repeated them all in Steel path mode (both pvpve nodes again) and have yet to receive a trophy, my progress is also 250/256 when i have definitely completed the new nodes/missions in steel path mode? I saw another user her mention that it only registers if you're the host? I hope this isn't true. I hope this bug is fixed soon.
