I'd die from shock if DE even considered using one of my ideas. Like that one about the Red Veil, but I want to mention Cantis is getting a rework in the concept to be a very different character from the fairly flat person she is right now in game, got an artist (or possibly two) drawing up a piece for her as well. I only wish my idea could reach that level of popularity XD But hey, I'm in the SAME boat as you - hell, even for the same character! I would LOVE to be able to try and use Cantis to some degree, or even other female characters - but I've got testicles, and you can hear my attempt to do a female Grineer voice in Bei Tul (from Beginning the Hunt) 's voice - it sounds like Frieza... But hey, you're idea is awesome, and I hope it gets more support so DE can see how much we want things like the Red Veil expanded upon - even if not in the way you suggest. Well, for videos all you really need is something as simple as Windows Movie Maker - although the more complicated you want to get with your vids the more high-end and pricey you're movie software will have to be. For the recording itself you'll need a microphone (I use a Yeti USB mic, but if you don't have 100 bucks to drop on it I recommend you shop around a bit) and some recording software - I use Audacity, a free software with an easy download, but there are plenty of other purchasable programs out there that may be a little more high-end and technical to provide a few more options (though I find Audacity is all I need). I think I did. I hope I did. The entry thing was really unintuitive, at first submitted my entire profile, then though about it a little bit and went back and submitted each of the two separately. Hopefully I did SOMETHING right in all of that. You also almost had a video this week: me just doing the other lines I didn't submit for the hell of it, but had a bit of a microphone scare when Audacity decided to put a filter over everything that made it sound like my mic had blown out during recording. Are there only male voice actors on these forums? I think not... Well, voice actors can technically ONLY be male, buy you know what I mean! So, here's what I'm looking for: Voice actresses to add a little flair to an upcoming update idea of mine - and potentially for future "Conflagration" videos as well (quotations because not all of them will be solely about the Conflagration, given how difficult it is to make a Tenno talking seem realistic). I've got two characters right out the gate I need actresses for, and if I can get a confirmation on whether or not Cantis is that Red Veil Syndicate character or a character that hasn't yet been given a voice there may be three (so, if that interests you keep an eye out for it). If you're familiar with Behind The Voice Actors dot com ( http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/ ) know that I'll be starting a project on that site to assist with the submission process. But if you don't want to wait, or would rather not create a profile on that site, feel free to upload your audition to Soundcloud and post a link to it in this thread. All you have to do is worry about the auditions being cast in on either of those websites, I'll take care of the rest. Read for each character, record the sample lines, upload them to Soundcloud and them post them here (or wait for the BTVA Project to get made, I'll update this when I get it up, you're choice). As for those auditions: The Orokin Central Security and Maintenance Mainframe (C.S.M.M.) The source of the Neural Sentry in the Orokin Towers and the force behind their defense, the C.S.M.M. is programmed to keep any and all intruders from damaging the Towers - either by killing or controlling them. The C.S.M.M. is a computer and power core built into a pillar in the center of the Orokin Tower, unable to move on its own but equipped with multiple defensive measures to keep itself safe. Voice: I want something like GLADOS in Portal AFTER the destruction of the Morality Core ( http://youtu.be/byBrIbGuPT4?t=1m6s ), but I'd like it to sound a touch more smooth; like the sentences are pre-programmed in for it to say, not the words alone. If you want, feel free to add a version that has the kinds of effects on it you think. It's emotionless and automated, but on a sentence-by-sentence basis, not word-by-word. Of course, if you think you have a better idea of how she could sound, feel free to provide an audition with that instead. Sample Lines: Intruders detected; Neural Sentry defenses deployed. All breaches to Orokin Tower security must be corrected. External casing damaged. Emergency shielding online. Level one emergency defenses online. - Valzi, Leader of the Vandals The leader of the Vandals, Valzi (Vall-Zee) is dedicated to wiping out all traces of Corpus culture under the belief that unless all traces of their ways of extortion and corruption are removed they will simply resurface again in the future. Though young and idealistic, Valzi is a cunning leader and a fearsome fighter in her own right. If her organization can gain traction in the Origin System, they may be able to make some kind of difference. Voice: I want her to sound like Nova from Starcraft 2 ( ) in tone, but if you can make her sound a little less experienced and professional (though no less confident) that would be ideal. Otherwise, go for something more unique, I just may like it more. Though it's not my idea, I picture her looking a bit like Lyza Tal from the old Red Veil Rising concept thread: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/293709-red-veil-rising-i-think-i-need-a-new-title-putting-this-on-hold-updated-1017/ (NOTE: I own NOTHING in that thread, that should be clear but I want to make sure ya'll know that) so if that's the kind of thing that helps you, use it as reference. Like with the C.S.M.M., I want to hear the unaltered voice more than anything, but if you can think of some effects you think would go with, add a version with those as well. Sample Lines: (Starts off listing, final half has a verbal shrug) “Credits, supplies, whatever you can offer us.” (Slight chuckle after first sentence) "So, you’re one of the Tenno? Never thought I’d meet one myself." "Alright, we’re gone. You’re clear to get out of there, Tenno." This'll end... Let's say December 3, as a current ballpack guesstimation. May change, I'll keep you updated. Depending on how this goes there MAY be a Platinum reward in it, but don't hold your breath on that bit. I'm poor. EDIT: I'll probably hold off on making the BTVA Project until Monday, to give actual Warframe players a chance over the random people that would attract. Unless, that is, someone would prefer to audition through BTVA rather than Soundcloud, in which case I'll go ahead and make it a thing. And a few of them will be male. I don't want to get TOO many outside people involved in this, so I'm offering this to ALL voice actors - well, specifically MALE voice actors of the Warframe community. I'll be posting some example lines in the future for you to try out (via soundcloud or other things) and so get yourself as an actor in this little concept. Here's the new characters: (Male) A Mercenary Leader of a PMC (Female) Xyn Hsa - Former Uzratak Squad Member (Male) An Imperialist Supporter And another female character that I'll need to get future permission for.
