I'd just like to chime in here and mention that even players with over a thousand hours in the game, and those in the top 1000*  do NOT have the mods they would like to create the builds they want. They must resort to trading, purchasing, or doing without. This is not a minority case, before trading each of us had to specialise in the mods that we had. Our specialities were tied to RNG as much as anyone else.

RNG is a major factor in this game, even with players who have far and beyond the mods, assets, and time to play as that of the median.

* Meaning they are conservatively in... 1000/2,000,000 = the top 0.05% of the playerbase with most mods** seen)

** Mod drops are very roughly correlating to the amount of enemies killed, several factors notwithstanding.

Edit: Formatting Unclear

Agreed. There are still mods from U9 and U10 that I've only gotten from Transmuting or Trading. And I've played more than most.....At least just a bit more than most ;)

So can we get a rough time estimate on when the Detron RNG Solution will arrive? Update 11.5.8 maybe?

Well it would help if they would first acknowledge that it's a problem, which they still haven't done.

Dont give away event weapons with little work put into it because then no one is going to bother doing the events.

Which, by the way, already have easy requirement which people STILL complain about even when events are a week long.

The theme here is pretty clear.

Put exclusive in front of the item they are getting and I guarantee most will participate in the event, no matter if it is easier to get than the last one before it. Already easy is also a subjective term. Most of us have a lot to do in our lives so the requirements have been fine, too much for some even. Maybe it is time to try to fill your life with other activities if everything is too easy and too soon to get for you. I don't know, but think about it.

I don't understand people yelling around about "Detron, etc" because i know so many ex warframe players what stops playing because we are lack of differnt/

interesting gamemodes and not because of some horrible drop chance of  some "new" gun.

Correct, though you have forgotten that is the RNG part of it people are complaining about, Detron is just the worst of the RNG we currently have so that is why it get's referenced with it.

Basically. It's just a symptom of a larger problem, e.g. dilution of the Void tables, the double RNG when looking for some specific mods post-Drops 2.0 (e.g. the Contagious Spread/Electric Crawler absurdity, which results in an "uncommon" being ridiculously rare), etc.

Part of the issue seems to be the disconnect that a lower probability makes it more "challenging" or "meaningful", it doesn't - it still boils down to blind, dumb luck (or lack thereof); that's what the "Random" in RNG entails.

Given the events of the U11 void drop rates, the 11.5 Derelict drop rates and now the Harvester/Detron drop rates, which are far from the first time they've had ridiculously low drop rates in the void; we need them to publish the drop rates for all new rare items when introduced or no longer encrypt the drop tables so the data miners can provide us with accurate information. Because as it is we have no accurate information to show DE to prove how onerous the drop rates are, and DE seems quite content to keep doing the same thing over and over again, and follow it with their  standard line; "We're sorry, we need to do better."

The way to show your player base you're sorry, is not to apologize each time you do the same thing; it's by not doing the thing you're apologizing for anymore.

So is it safe to assume this post applies only to the PC version of the game?

I was hoping to find a post somewhere talking about when the many various issues with the PS4 version would be fixed/addressed.

Yes, since most of the things this thread applies to are not available on the PS4 as of yet.

Dude, you are going to diss me on an official DE topic? You dont do that. You do that on a general board post where it can go by ignored but here stuff is being looked at. You just loss all credibility in whatever you post here.

Can we put petty insults and credibility arguments aside long enough to discuss how the Detron should be fixed, please?

I'd kinda like to focus on the more important stuff right now. If you really must have a &!$$ing contest, you can have it another time.

I'm inclined to agree. When it comes to the Void for example, it's had drop table issues with every single update since its introduction. Every. Single. One. Whether it was the Latron Prime Receiver/Reaper Prime Blade, Forma, or the actual omission of a part needed to complete a given item from the drop table (i.e. that part wasn't just rare, it flat out didn't exist in the table).

In all of those cases, I'm reasonably certain it was the playerbase, not DE, that found and reported all of those errors by looking at the datamined tables. As-is, there's no way to tell if you're simply being unlucky, or if they screwed up the tables again. Sadly, even if it's not the correct one, the latter's the safer bet to make.

As I posted in a thread a couple weeks back (and was maybe kinda sorta covered in the first post here), this was also one of the primary functions the Codex was supposed to serve according to the Pre-U11 Livestreams - we were told point-blank that it'd give us an avenue for unobfuscating the complete drop tables and that it'd be complete by U11 and that when we had the Codex, we wouldn't need to datamine anymore. Halfway through U11, they still haven't held up their end on that front.

- RNG -

RNG is always going to exist in a game where collecting a crap ton of items is a primary goal of a player. There are ways to reduce it's painful effects however.

- Add sector clear rewards of set mods/items based on the level of the sector (A Example would be for clearing Mercury. It's reward would could be a +health, a +shield and +rifle damage mod. Perfect for any beginner making their way into more difficult areas of the game.), or a choice of rewards (You've cleared Earth. Have a choice of a Braton / Latron / Burston / Strum)

- Token System for more exotic equipment/mods. The use of a token system is debatable imho. While you are removing the factor of RNG from the game you replace a invisible farm  it with a visible amount of "farm time". The idea on how to make a game interesting is to make it so you are "playing the game", not "Playing the grind for fat loots". It also is debatable on how many tokens would be needed to obtain a single item. People can be rather vocal on costs that are deemed unrealistic so there would need to be a thick, well curved line on the old "Effort = Reward" system.

- The Harvester/Detron -

My 2 cents for the Detron RNG issue...

Condense it's requirements to a single Blueprint, and put a harvester bundle on the market like the stalker ;p

- Future Codex Improvements -

Showing the actual mod pictures when the mouse is over the mod's name would be nice.

- Orokin Derelict Survival rewards -

"Effort = Reward".... 'nuff said.

Still nothing about polarization. This has been mentioned multiple times, and nothing has happened. It was in the last hot topics and nothing has changed!

And any word on the stalker?

hmm glad you guys are pointing out the flaws and showing you care. Sigh just please fix these properly and not do band aid fix and think its okay, throwing it under the rug afterwards. Like personally still waiting on the real valkyr changes and the lanka being properly being tweaked to match its required rank in comparison to the vectis.

Here's a question, how come Oberon isn't even mentioned here? Sure, he's fun and not as broken as Nekros and Valkyr were on release, but he's still a topic of recent debate. His addition has caused people to seriously question frames like Trinity (duration scaling on Renewal vs duration scaling on Energy Vampire) and Nekros (Smite as a better Soul Punch, Reckoning as a damaging Desecrate).

As one who is attempting to finish my codex scans, and one who is having a hard time understanding the damage 2.0 system. I'd appreciate it if it was more clear on what damages a certain enemy and what doesn't. I see all the red and green symbols, but am still unclear if red means that it damages them, or red means it has little effect on them.

It would also be great if while in game, and trying to scan an enemy that is already completed, the system said no scan needed, or perhaps highlight enemies different colors, one color for enemies that I've acheived the maximum # of scans needed for full details, and another color for enemies that I still need to scan. This would come in very useful for finding those enemies that look nearly identical, except for the weapon they're carrying. Right now I'm stuck using lokis invisibility and running up to enemies and checking out their weapon before I can even do a scan.

I've been told that nothing is gained by completing the entire codex, but I'm hoping that when I complete mine, that is either changed, or when something is offered, mine will instantly gain a reward.

Lastly, while I understand the reasoning for making never before scanned enemies completely not show in the codex, it would be nice if it at least gave a shaded out image of them, so I know what to look for to finish my codex. With it just being black boxes, I know I have more scanning to do, but I do not know what, who, or where. Or at the very least, give me the system that enemy spawns in, so I can hammer through that system to find my needed scans.

From someone that is trying to complete the codex, I really hope these suggestions are used, or better ones of your own.

Thanks for reading.

I REALLY hope you make the Detron Fixes part of 11.6.

Farming for the Detron just sapped all my drive to play this game. I currently have no interest in playing until you condense the Detron into a single blueprint. That way I'll be able to build it with the BP in my inventory.
