JackBeloved
Venom: Saryn tags the target with a toxic spore that does viral damage over time. Destroying the spore will spread a viral infection to nearby enemies. Contagion: Saryn channels high levels of toxicity into her melee weapon, transmitting disease and plague with each strike that connects with targets. So, IRL, isn't "venom" a toxin that is injected through a bite, like snake fangs and such? And isn't a contagion a disease, bacterial or viral, that can spread and is thus contagious? So why is the viral damage that spreads not called contagion and the toxin damage that's injected through a melee weapon not called venom? Doesn't that make more sense? Example: Saryn with twin daggers (called "Fang" for crying out loud!) channeling toxic damage into enemies through stabs- but the skill is called contagion and not venom. Yes, but that would make sense (lol). In seriousness, I do agree that the names are all mixed up, but meh.
Zero.No.Hikari
Then again before D 2.0 they all did poison so it made sense then about the names.
JackBeloved
Then again before D 2.0 they all did poison so it made sense then about the names. It might not have not made as much sense, but it still didn't make a lot of sense (if that makes sense). Even before damage 2.0, when they were all poison damage, venom was still a spreading ability and contagion was still a per-strike ability, which is still flipped in real life. valkerion77
As much as I love my Saryn.... yeah this always bothered me. And yes I am that guy who corrects people about random facts IRL lol. I feel this post is for all us "types"
