Update 12: Zephyr Rises

The new HUD is wayy too unpractical. It's for looks, not for action. The abilities, my energy, my power, it was so all easy to read and react too but now, there are so much distractions, it just not practical. Mini-map is a mess.

 

Please give us an option revert back.

Frost Snow Globe change is great, DE. Don't listen to people who *@##$ and moan about every single nerf even if it's for the good of the game.

 

I do think Frost could use some better buffs in other areas, but I fully agree the snow globe nerf was needed for the good of the game, thank you!

- Frost’s Snowglobe now has health in the following values as upgraded/fused: 1500,2500,3000,3500.

I was coming back from time to time to check on updates hoping that you finally are going to add some end game content, but i see now its finally time to turn my back on this pile of crap.

 

Since release you have never bothered with end game and up to date you do not intend to do a damn about it.

The drop system is still the biggest crap amongst fps/tps games currently on the market.

You PURPOSEFULLY sell out overpowered weapons and frames FOR MONEY and then nerf them into the ground after a while and/or screw them in the name of "balance" even tho you keep on pumping the game full with imbalanced crap on the other side.

I have called it back when you were trying to play rigged lottery in the void, but i see you are hell bent on screwing your entire playerbase over.

 

Well, have fun ramming your game into the ground.

Great update, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see that you still haven't fixed our beloved Lag Spike issue... you know the one that RUINS the game at every given oppertunity!?

 

The game is quite hellbent on making sure that you play alone or just plain DIE when it seems like things are looking up.

 

And it also makes me extremely happy that the Rescue missions remains the WORST mission type in this game. It's so good that you highlight this blight on an otherwise excellent game by having Darvos "special" Alert being part of it, as he shares the exact same stupid AI as the Rescue Targets.

 

Taking cover from enemy fire? Wield a gun so they can help defend themselves? Now, now, that just makes TOO MUCH SENSE.

 

Darvo can rot in his cell for all I care, with a measly reward of Credits and Forma, BOTH which I can gain on my own and for him to stand out in the open with gunfire all around him like a complete idiot, he DESERVES TO DIE along with the morons you save in the other missions. He's not worth the effort.

Thanks DE for this grat update :)

 

Now where should I start with the problems I'm experiencing so far?

First this update ha even more bugs than the previous one when it came out. The game crashed for me for the second time for no reason.Right when the Harvester finally wanted to appear for the first time for me.The buffs are nice and all but things like the void.Okay the drop table seems better now but you forgot to mention that you put in sh*t like rare 5 cores and void keys....yeah void keys.....in the void.Seriously I did a T3 Mob. Def and I got a rare 5 core.Are you kidding me?And the a T3 Ext and I got a T1 Surv. key.Thanks DE....

 

I don't really like the new HUD but that's my problem.But it isn't that survivals are also bugged because life support won't come and air dissappears in a second.So many bugs,drop able is maybe even worse than before and Frost is officially useless in higher level Defense mission where he belong to(Defense is his speciallity for gods sake).

 

Oh and yes.One thing.End game.You're promising it will come but how do we play it if you nerf the sh*t out from everything?(Rhino,Forst,Continous Fire weapons).What or who will be the next?Nova?Nyx?Maybe Trin so they can become totally useless too?

First, I have to say that I like a lot of the new changes and new "look".... much appreciated.

 

The HUD though....

On one hand it's more "informative".... when you're standing still, not fighting enemies, and have time to look for the info.

However, when it the gets busy with the business of staying alive,  I find that it's not as intuitive as the previous HUD.

 

The problem stems from the predominance of the numbers, as opposed to the graphical bars.  In the previous HUD, the bars told me more where I stood at a glance than the numbers in this case, and the HUGE numbers overpower any message the bars can naturally to deliver.  "Am I halfway down? Quarter? Toast?".  I wish the power level marker was also beside the shield/hp section..... Again, I now have to look at the number to find how much power I have, and in the different corner to boot.

 

I know people have preferences, but by and large, I typically believe that graphical markers deliver information more intuitively at a glance than text would. Thanks for listening....

So many good things with this update and yet a few incredibly bad ones!

 

The new UI is actually worse than the last. Sure it has a couple of good things like the sentinel's health and timers for abillities (not working on all though, at least Nyx's absorb is not getting a timer). However the placement of UI is incredibly bad. It would have been a lot better to keep the old UI, have another health bar for the sentinel and the timer added on the abillities instead.

 

The new intercept missions are nothing more than a bad domination mode map... Why bad? Because it it has every single drawback of the defense missions and what people always hated about them. You either take a reward and leave or you have to lose it and hope for a better reward next. Survival is still the best kind where the longer you stay, the more you get. That's how you should have done intercept missions andd that's what you should have done as a rebalance for defense missions!

 

Frost has became close to useless... Geeee thanks DE, we really needed that! Before it was the only thing that managed to keep a pod alive against antyhing that shot at it. Now as you get into high levels it's absolutly useless as a a burst aimed in the general direction of the snow globe breaks it... It really wasn't enough that you had ruined the iron skin for the Rhino, you also had to ruin the snow globe for the Frost... And really, I have to question why here. Trinity has a time based invunerabillity. Valkyr has a time based invunerabillity (and you even buffed the armor on this warframe in this patch!). Nyx has a time based invunerabillity (although not as good against ranged stuff)... So if we are to assume that time based invunerabillity isn't wrong and that it actually is needed because high level stuff instantly breaks anything that isn't time based, then why the hell nerf things that don't need nerfing in the first place? The only reasoning I could see would be PVP balance and if so... Really this is why I never wanted PVP, it was just meant to break the game for everyone else.

 

One last thing, this wasn't mentioned in the patch notes but for some reason Rhino is moving a lot slower, not just some tiny little bit but a lot slower, it's incredibly easy to notice this huge difference... Is that a "feature", a ninja nerf or was it just forgetfulness to mention?

Thanks for the update DE!
I see you have lots of work in it. However it's not perfect. First: the Frost. He is nearly useless in higher lvl. DEF missions where he was the best before the update. Second: the Minimap. I have a big 24'' screen, but I can't see the difference between the extraction and the life support icon on it. Both are yellow and rectangular. Pls change it. Third: clan weapons on market. Seriously? And pls don't place vauban into the lab. It will lose it's prestige. Everybody will use him. What is the best thing about him? You have to play and fight for to get him(or pay tons of platinum). I waited months to get him and when I finally finished him I was so happy. Don't change this system. I know it's not in this update but pls don't do it!

Totally Right.

 

Dhis new HUD  is a piece of sh*it.  the minimap is chaotic.  And  the entire hud looks like drawed by windows Paint. 

 

Snow Globe with life?   Bit*h please a lvl 40 Heavy ginnier kill it instantly.  Now frost globe is totally useless late??  in MIDGAME!   So sorry but 

 

This upgrade its crap.

Well I said late not to be too mean to it but yeah, it crushs down pretty damn fast.

 

Still I don't expect DE to really care that they really f.ck up the there because they did it to Rhino, they made it's iron skin close to worthless and have you seen them go back in their decision? Course not.

If you could do something very bad in this update, you hit the jackpot! 

Interface - 100% 

Run the game "to start now!" - 100% 

Frost - 100% 

Graphics - 100% 

It's just disrespectful to the people 

 

Developers you at least have played in that what you did? ...

I agree with -Kasumi-, I would like to express dissatisfaction with the new HUD elements that can not be scaled individually - it would be very useful.
Markers are very small compared to the size of the current minimap-size, if their density ( players, oxygen balloons , etc. ) is high - it is sometimes difficult to make out what and where. One could make the different forms but thematically close markers in a new style - the evacuation of such a triangle symbol, "Tab " - a circle , mission objectives - hexagon. And pointers down / up with new markers are very small.
Although a whole HUD very quite modern and looks cool.

Time to dump frost. You guys need to understand infinitely scaled things make frames better, and in turn, more fun.

 

The reason you dumped frost's third was because other frames weren't as viable in defense?

 

How about you make them viable instead of nerfing to oblivion?

Well, I can't say for sure but I highly suspect the nerf comes from this hving having PVP. I've said so in the past, the game isn't balanced for PVP and if it ever had PVP, nice frames are gonna get nerfed to oblivion... There we go!
