Yes.

Thought so, I once mentioned that I didn't quite like his appearance in the one where he was smacking the hell out of Rhino, on dA, however, this new design, i'd like to say, is quite nice.

I had an idea for an ability, what if he sacrifices a bit of his defence by throwing a plate of his armoured chitin at an enemy, so the barbed parasites would start to rip into an enemies flesh, causing severe pain?

1. Maybe to make it easier for DE to program, if it gets implemented, have Devour rip off a limb? Just as gruesome and it is a huge chunk of flesh.

2. Building on #1, you could have an associated debuff. For example, if you rip off an arm they lose attack speed/accuracy and if you rip off a leg they lose movement speed.

The debuff could be applied to Cannibalize Armor as well, but, if it was attached to Cannibalize Armor, the effect would have to be reduced to compensate for the AoE.

Well if the devs did it like that, it'd be quite horrendous. Since its a hunk of flesh, you don't need to show it getting torn off, it could be from anywhere, he's just ripping a hunk of flesh out. It'd be a lot easier.

They'd have to make new animations and skins just to do that, for that -one- move.

Just to clarify, do you want the flesh to actually be removed from the enemy model or do you just want to have a hunk of flesh come out of the guy then get absorbed?

This is only a first ability, no need for it to be too flashy (or "fleshy" in this case) and adding all those details you suggested would just make it harder for the devs. Additionally, you can make something appear gruesome yet simple. Picture it this way, the tendril lashes out from Typhus' arm and hits an enemy, and when it gets tugged back a torrent of blood pours out. No need to make hunks of anything, just add lots of blood.

Alright. I would definitely go for that. This frame looks amazing and, if implemented correctly, would fill the gap that Nekros left, which seems to be the niche you're aiming for.
