[Warframe Concept] Typhus - The Parasite Warframe

They are produced by his warframe, because the frame itself is a parasite (the worms are "bred" by the armor).

oh that's so cool, but how did he get the armor???

*warframe/armor*

like did he find it? or did he fall of off a bridge into a puddle of these parasitic worms?

and how are the worms parasites if they still preserve typhus? the parasite gives him armor at the price of pain. isn't that symbiosis?

Bold: How did any Warframe get put on the Tenno? That's the brain-meat stuff that makes you do the think thing.

Italic: You realize that macro-parasites go to great lengths to keep their hosts alive. Case in point; Cordyceps Fungi, some species of wasp/hornet, some snails preying on Sea-Life.

It's not a symbiosis, which implies an equal trade-off of both parties. It's a parasitic infection trying to keep itself alive. It just so happens that it does that by killing the ever-living sh*t out of Grineer and Corpus. If you want a good example of what Typhus would be like, read "Abara" by Tsutomu Nihei. Though Typhus does have another written power in the OP called Symbiosis. But that's still more of a Parasitic dealio.

The Gauna characters from that story are infected with a macro-parasite that deliberately goes out of its way to make it's host faster, stronger and more capable, so that it can get food more easily.

Symbiosis - long-term interactions between different biological species, which can be mutualistic, commensal or parasitic.

Mutualism - where both organisms experience mutual benefit in the relationship.

Parasitism - where one organism benefits at the expense of another.

More information on the matter is below ↓

Symbiosis (from Ancient Greek "together" and "living") is close and often long-term interaction between two or more different biological species. In 1879, the German mycologist Heinrich Anton de Bary defined it as "the living together of unlike organisms."

The definition of symbiosis is controversial among scientists. Some believe symbiosis should only refer to persistent mutualisms, while others believe it should apply to any types of persistent biological interactions (i.e. mutualistic, commensalistic, or parasitic). Current biology and ecology textbooks now use the latter "de Bary" definition or an even broader definition (i.e. symbiosis = all species interactions)

Parasitism is a non-mutual symbiotic relationship between species, where one species, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the host.

Traditionally parasite referred primarily to organisms visible to the naked eye, or macroparasites (typically protozoa and helminths). Parasite now includes microparasites, which are typically smaller, such as viruses and bacteria. Some examples of parasites include the plants mistletoe and cuscuta, and animals such as hookworms.

Parasites that live on the surface of the host are called ectoparasites. Those that live inside the host are called endoparasites (including all parasitic worms). Endoparasites can exist in one of two forms: intercellular parasites (inhabiting spaces in the host’s body) or intracellular parasites (inhabiting cells in the host’s body). Intracellular parasites, such as protozoa, bacteria or viruses, tend to rely on a third organism, which is generally known as the carrier or vector. The vector does the job of transmitting them to the host. An example of this interaction is the transmission of malaria, caused by a protozoan of the genus Plasmodium, to humans by the bite of an anopheline mosquito. Those parasites living in an intermediate position, being half-ectoparasites and half-endoparasites, are sometimes called mesoparasite.

Unlike predators, some parasites do not kill their host. They are also generally much smaller than their host, and will often live in or on their host for an extended period of time. Both are special cases of consumer-resource interactions. Parasites show a high degree of specialization, and reproduce at a faster rate than their hosts. Classic examples of parasitism include interactions between vertebrate hosts and diverse animals such as tapeworms, flukes, the Plasmodium species, and fleas. In rare cases, a parasite may even undergo co-speciation with its host. One particularly remarkable example of co-speciation exists between the simian foamy virus (SFV) and its primate hosts.

well that answers 1 of my questions, but how did typhus get the armor that bred the parasites? didn't he have to find the parasites before the armor? or did he find the armor, THEN the parasites came in?

He got his armor where every other Tenno got their armor, simple as that. Also the parasites are PRODUCED by the armor, I don't get how you can't understand this. Besides, RedSkittlez already said this, how are you still confused?

I do believe he was experimented on by ALAD V.

Well, that was the original backstory.

I think now Skittlez has taken a "Let DE figure out the messy bits like stats and lore" thing because that's, y'know, what they're paid to do.

Personally, I don't think every 'Frame needs to have an origin story beyond "This guy are sick. BAM! Power Armour and Spess-Wizurrd powers".

well the thing is how did the tenno get their armor? and dont make me look like a retard. i know what he said. i already knew the parasites were produced by the armor. skittlez already told me that. my question is HOW DID HE GET THE ARMOR ITSELF???

(and by the way im not confused, i just want to know more about him if he's implemented in the game)

I don't really think it's our place to come up with that kind of fluff. There's still too much we don't know about how Warframes are made, or how they work. It's up to DE to say how Typhus got mutated in such a way that he can liquefy and eat people.

yea i guess you're right, but he had no right to downgrade me just because i asked a question

Amazing work<3 and i rly like this design concept, but what bout REPOSE alt.helmet? I dont see links between parasite conception and hands which close mouth xD  I mean idea of this helmet is cool, but it dont fits to whole design IMO
The Elder helmet looks much better for me.

P.S. tentacles for Elder helmet could be replaced with some kind of wriggling crinkly wormes? =P

P.P.S. just mine viewpoint, no aggresion and nothing similar =)

The Repose alt helmet is a representation of one of his abilities called "Cannibalize Armor", where he steals body parts from his victims and uses them to reinforce his own armor.
