Zyfe3rX
1) They still exist 2) The armor % only affects you HP, you will lose shield just like any other player,
DogManDan
You take less damage on health when shields are away. This is it exactly. Armor mods protect your health when shields have lost capacity. It only slows the process but it is an effective mod to have. Really good to have on the Sentinels as well.
Cyler
So if I have 90% armor, what will it do? Reduce damage by 90%?(on my HP) Are there any exact numbers on that? PS: Awesome mod for infested bosses. Edited March 26, 2013 by Cyler

Hammerspace
Aren't these values multiplicative? Ie., not so impressive on Volt (90% of 10 armor) but nice on Rhino (90% of 150 armor).

honeybadger
The formula for damage mitigated (as a fraction) is as follows: TotalArmor/(TotalArmor+100) where TotalArmor=BaseArmor+BaseArmor*ArmorModValue To visualize this function, see the following Wolfram Alpha link. The X axis is total armor, and the Y axis is damage mitigated as a percent http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=plot+100*x%2F%28x%2B100%29+from+0+to+
