Elemental Damage Calculations?

Question

I am confused as how Elemental Damage works.

Since the description says 10% Electric Damage.

Does the 10% come from the base damage of the weapon?

Let's say Paris. My charge shot damage is 160 now (Elemental Damage is bugged in Paris I know, but lets say it was fixed).

Does it go 160 x 0.1 = 16 (whick makes additional Electric Damage?)

or is it controlled by another variable? Like damage overtime?

(I tried it in with Braton and I really still can't get it)

I am curious on weather or not normal damage is applied to elemental bonuses

latron base is 35

+100% normal dmg card = 70

So does an elemental dmg card go off the 70 dmg or the 35 dmg?

Also when you multishot does the elemental dmg trigger on both shots?

Since we are on this subject...There is a mod that does +xx% 'armor piercing damage'.

Does this count as a simple damage buff like elemental mods or is this something else?

"Armor Piercing" is handled like another element. Like fire or ice.

I cant speak to multishot, but for elemental damage -- it is scaled off your base weapon damage plus any +% damage mods.

So, in your example, elemental damage would scale off the 70 damage.
