Stormfinnare
Hey guys! Has anyone had the keybinds make it so you cant do anything but open/close chatt window? I was trying to rebind one of my alternate buttons on my mouse to activate the first ability, but as I tried to change the keybind in options it set it to Mouse1 button instead for some reaon, and I could not for the life of me get it to do anything other than that no matter what i tried. I then decided to "Esc" my way out as to not press confirm so that the keybinds would not accept the faulty change, but for some reason the keybind still stuck. Now i can not enter any instances of the game such as planets, menus, chatt tabs or newslinks as all my mouse can do is open close the chatt window. Has anyone ever had this issue? In any case, I have made a ticket and hope to get a reply soon as I could not find any way to reset the keybinds without entering options in game. I would love to seea feature in the launcher to reset any options and keybinds you have in game from there. Regards, Stormfinnare
Brahmastra
I personally didn't have it, but there was at least 1 other person that did have it.. I'm not sure how it ended.
Stormfinnare
I hope that person got it sorted out, cause its not so fun, hehe. I tried to find possible ways to maby delete some config file manually, and I tried (just in case) to reinstall the game from scratch, but no luck. I suspect that only DE can help me in this case as the config file seems to be server side. Just a guess on my part though. GNAAHH
Have you tried this?:How to revert to game Defaults without openning(sic) game Instead of deleting the EE.cfg file, perhaps you can temporarily move it to some other folder, just in case you have to put it back :) Edited February 26, 2014 by GNAAHH
Stormfinnare
Thanks! Ive found and tried a similar solusion, but not this one. Ill read up on it and try it if the DE dont reply soon on my ticket. Thanks again! Regards, Stormfinnare
Stormfinnare
I read it and figured, wth, ill give it a try. And it bloody worked! Thank you SO much for this! Great find! If anyone has och get this issue, the thing to do is to delete the EE.cfg file found somewhere near c:/users/"username"/AppData/Local/Warframe on windows PC atleast. It will reset all your keybinds and other ingame options. Very best and happy regards, Stormfinnare
Bibliothekar
There is one setting in the controls tab (I think it's the last one), that sets MB4 = Esc. Don't know if that might fix your problem. Else, there is a "Reset" button below the settings, that includes keybinds. /e: Okay, late to the party. Stormfinnare
Thanks Biblio, but I fear that would not have helped in my case. I could not enter options in game, nor do anything but open/close chatt window. I really do apriciate you trying to help! Thank you! Lyckily I got it sorted out thanks to GNAAHHs help. Arkenvile
I'm having trouble, not locating that file anywhere. Im on a Windows 8 computer and Im kind of wondering if I am screwed.
Stormfinnare
I'm having trouble, not locating that file anywhere. Im on a Windows 8 computer and Im kind of wondering if I am screwed. It should be somwhere near the location I mentioned above. You might need to enable the "Show hidden folders and files" option to be able to navigate to it. For some reason I could not find it using the search function. I found this guide on the net using google, and i think this could work for you. If not, please try to find a guide on how to do this safely. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/zxue/archive/2012/03/08/win8-howto-19-show-hidden-files-folders-and-drives.aspx Remember, if you are unsure, dont delete ANY files and folders that you are not sure you can do without. In this case, I find it hard to belive you cant correct any mistakes by simply reinstall the game. Just be careful. Hope that helps! GNAAHH
I guess that even if you delete/reinstall the game, the files in "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Warframe" don't get deleted/overwritten.
Stormfinnare
I guess that even if you delete/reinstall the game, the files in "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Warframe" don't get deleted/overwritten. Yes, this is true. I tried to reinstall the game to solve my issue to no avail. In my last post I ment that "if" for some reason he/she/it accidently deleeted the wrong file or something and by doing so broke the entire game, then reinstalling the game should fix any accidental removals of files and folders he/she/it might have happened to produce. (in the Warframe games folder) One should ALWAYS be very carefull what one deletes and plays with in system folders. Reinstalling the entire operating system and all other progs isnt all that fun either. hehe Was parehaps bad wording on my part, but I blame it on the fact I´m a seasick swedish viking.
