Zelmanov
My rifle currently contains mods to deal fire, ice and electric damage, they all stack it seems but I am unsure if tis is hindering more raw damage output (is the 30% heat damage a 30% additional or does it work like mulitshot mods where ever 3rd or so shot is a fire bullet) so, pro opinions? Lemaign
Elemental mods and armor piercing mods add additional damage. Say, each bullet you fire deals 100 damage. If each the fire mod is +30%, you will deal 30 damage along with the regular 100 damage.
Zelmanov
so, there is no detriment (as of yet) to stacking on all the different elemental mods if you aim for pure damage then? As far as I know there are elemental weaknesses (Infected to fire, shields to Ice) but no elemental resistances
FirstToLast
And 'regular' damage mods add to the base damage before elemental is calculated so the %benefit bleeds over to them. so, there is no detriment (as of yet) to stacking on all the different elemental mods if you aim for pure damage then? As far as I know there are elemental weaknesses (Infected to fire, shields to Ice) but no elemental resistances Nope and shock is good against robotics, freeze slows, fire/shock panics certain enemies. Nokturnal
so, there is no detriment (as of yet) to stacking on all the different elemental mods if you aim for pure damage then? As far as I know there are elemental weaknesses (Infected to fire, shields to Ice) but no elemental resistances Nope, no detrimental effect. If you noticed though, all Rifle damage mods only add 10% per rank but Hellfire and Stormbringer cost 2 more energy than the rest..So might be a good idea to max the Freeze Damage Mod, the Armor Piercing Mod and the basic Damage mod and leave fire and electricity at their lowest % to conserve energy while still having the ability to do fire and electrical damage.Only upgrading those when there's nothing else that offers higher dps for it's energy cost. (and if you have extra energy after maxing freeze, armor pen and serration) Finding out the best build for weapons to maximize dps in the current system is crazy simple. --- Edited March 27, 2013 by Nokturnal
UnderYourBed
You deal n% additional damage for each.
Pixues
What happens if you have freeze, electric and a fire mod on a rifle. Does the enemy freeze fire then go into shock? Does the enemy shock and go into flames and feeze to death? Does the fire freeze and shock? ............

xenapan
ALL OF IT! and yeah.. stacking elementals is OP right now. They will definitely tone it down. Think 90% of each element + 90% increase damage + 120% multishot....

Think 90% of each element + 90% increase damage + 120% multishot.... Only way they could tone it down is by getting rid of this whole card system and bringing it back to how it was in Update 6. If we could only put on 1 element, we'd only be able to put like 5 cards on our weapons lol.
novac3721
Freeze has priority, so you'll always freeze the enemy, the other 2 effects just stack on damage after that. Use all 3 for triple the fun!
