zelgaris
I felt kind of stupid, when I realized, that when using charging attack with my plasma sword, no matter, how many enemies are grouped together, only one is hit and the others aren't damaged at all. I understand the design decision to remove splash damage (probably due to balance issues), but it doesn't make any sense with the obvious wide slash animation. In case you don't plan to add splash damage, at least change the animation to kendo-like over the head attack. Melee is probably not the main focus of the game, but slashing enemies Vindictus combo style is much more satysfying -
LoRDxDeMoN
A lot of melee weapons have splash. Heavy weapons, staves and duals mostly. Plasma Sword doesn't.

Kasp0me
I totally agree! I use mostly "boxinggloves" and when i do powerattacks and everything seems to explode around me groups of enemys seems to tackle it all perfectly. When i jump and dash to the ground i stun everything around me, so i would love splashdamage.
zelgaris
Play vindictus ^^ I know, I forgot something in op and that was adding - Please, be constructive, no "Play Vindictus bs" ... You missed the point a bit - the animation of the charge attack with Plasma Sword (and other attacks and possibly weapons) is misleading, in addition to looking stupid, cause the slice is going through the enemies without any damage. Let's use a simple analogy to a flamethrower that can damage only one person from the group of five, although visually all of them are in the fire - doesn't make sense, right? :)
