ChiefExecutiveOfficer
I have a super ninja warframe and an unstoppable sword and an epic custom gun. It would be awesome to take those into an open world with my friends and dominate to my heart's content while exploring things i didn't even know were in the game. I WANNA GO ESPLOORING AHHHH. There are games with perfect worlds and there are games with perfect mechanics. please join them together.

gnat6
One word: Badlands. About 2 months after they are released because we all know it will take DE that long to get all the bugs out.
BrotherIcarus
Please do not call out for warframe to just turn around and be something it is not. there are many great RTS's out there does not mean that warframe should become one.
Muminidas
You got epic space ninja guardians who are fighting clones on steroids and 100+ years living technology-scavenger-traders, not to metion female version of the Charles Xavier from X-Men(Lotus and Xavier helmets comparision). I can also add Warframe version of the Proteans (from Mass Effect series) that are long gone Orokin, together with technocyte virus that creates zombie abominations attacking you like a swarms of mutants. I can add this dark, amazing sci-fi atmosphere around the game with amazing locations. Yet you want more. Open world? Some want raid bosses. Some want BAMs etc. Are you not satisfied yet? When games from ME series came out nobody moaned that it was not multiplayer version, that it was not actually open world. It was good game without open world and millions bought it. I can say that Warframe is also a good game without open world mechanics. Developers are doing sooo much stuff to make ppl happy, look how this game changed ... fom simple sci-fi slasher to something alike of ninja-mmo instance based game with a some sort of freedom (lil' bit of a sandbox). Moreover, developers say they want to make Warframe as much of a sandbox as they can. So you can expect a migration from this static little Warframe world we got now(static star chart) into a real living places in the game like space hubs or even maybe your own ship. Really, look at this- Warframe cannot be open world, not now after being deployed over a year ago. You will get so much stuff to get a hold of this epic sci-fi world soon enough, just wait. :) If you want to explore you can do it even now, just do a mission solo or with friend and don't rush ... there are many locations in current tilesets that are like "WOOOW!". Just log in again and look... :) Edited March 13, 2014 by darkhades2012
Lunamaniac
I had an idea for hunting planets a while back, similar idea. I would like some kind of free roam element in the game some day.
RoboDoge
One word: Badlands. Badlands. Another tileset. You expect too much my fellow Tenno. Without servers, open world is hardly possible.
