I Have A Thought.... Bosses Participating In Random Invasions....

I can go for this, but it'd probably be difficult for the Devs to get it done. Bosses, generally, are much, much more powerful than their regular, common enemy counterpart, even heavy enemies.

Some bosses even move slowly and have special effects to where they cannot be killed by a common enemy in the game.

DE would have to work on it, but I'd support this!

Yuikami would go crazy having an allied Vor in a mission.

I like where you;re going with this, but I'd like to propose a different version of the idea. Imagine that in every invasion that a "friendly" boss appeared on your side, there was also an enemy boss on the other side, and the mission culminated in a massive all-out faction brawl between two generals, their minions, and you. imagine a corpus-aligned invasion, plowing through hordes of grineer solders alongside Alad V and Zanuka. Then all of a sudden you reach the end, and Sargas Ruk is standing there waiting for you with one last group of elites. Glorious chaos ensues.

What do you guys think?

I like this idea alot, however i don't think that Alad V would be one of those bosses where you'd want to fight along side considering that he is using a moa with a bunch of dead tenno parts stuck together

Kind of an akward scenario  *plants a secret bomb on zanuka to explode after battle*

It would make sense.  A lot of the bosses are of the General class who lead the armies. It would make sense for one of them to appear in an invasion. either with or against you. Or failing that. some messages from the generals to you. Especially from the likes of hek. Who does not actually like you as it is.  but some messages from the likes of him and others during invasions makes sense.  something like that should indeed be implicated in to the game

Have Vor/Ruk/Hek Fight along side you in an invasion mission against corpus,

Have a Jackle/Pack of Hyenas with you in an invasion against grineer.

i would like the opposite too, those bosses appear against you in invasions, pretty much like stalker, harverster and g3 do, randomly  and unexpected, maybe a small new cutscene when they appear

The thing is though with the stalker trying to kill only tenno and all it would probably be an event mission or something along the lines because the stalker would literally have to go back on his ideals and oaths to fight this other enemy and not go for your throat.

"Name of the Stalker co-op mission: The Enemy of My Enemy"  :D

Like i said though, unless the sentients come back (HL 3 confirmed) then i wouldn't see any other way he wouldn't try to gut us at first site.

Well, maybe if you don't have a deathmark on you i guess that could make sense, but then what is the stalker trying to achieve in this mission? that would open up a whole can of worms for DE cause they would have to add more lore to him immediately and give him an ultimatum which is a very hard thing to do for a vendetta figure like the Stalker, cause if he kills all the Tenno what will he do next?

I'm also thinking that these "events" where the boss is leading the invasion would be near a critical point on a planet (i.e. near the boss mission tab)

It would also have to follow lore of each of the boss characters, for instance, Vay Hek would not participate as he is a politician and a propaganda center, the majority of the human bosses for the corpus would not participate either (just nerf and salad V lol).

The percent chance of the boss helping out in that invasion mission depends on the boss's character

Grineer

Vor: born fighter/killer captain, would definitely spawn if the invasion was in the mercury sector and phobos (more on phobos after)

General Sargas Ruk: would probably participate in almost every invasion mission cause he's blood thirsty

Leut. Lech Kril: Same as Ruk

Vay Hek: Would not participate cause he battles more with propaganda and politics

Kela De Thaym: would be seen also as she is described as battle hungry

Tyl Regor: He is a scientist, not truly a fighter. He would not be seen

Corpus

Ambulas: Definitely would be seen, although the lore describes it as a one of a kind robot so seeing it alot would kind of discredit that

Salad V: The only thing you will see from this guy is maybe his Zanuka, although we probably wouldn't even accept that next to us considering its made up of dead tenno parts

Jackal: would like to see it but its too big for most areas, Maybe you will see it in the outside, wide area tilsets if it is included

Raptor: Almost forgot about this guy, I would also say that he would definitely be restricted to wide outside areas as his hulking form leaves little room to manuver

Sgt. Nef Anyo: Umm? most likely for comic relief cause he can't really do anything usefull

Hyena Pack: Yes yes yes, These guys would be heavily deployed especially during the higher level invasion missions, that way DE can spawn more enemies per player so that we can see the sheer brutality of these killers in action. They are fast, small, and have powers all their own. Most likely these would spawn instead of A zanuka, as they do the same thing but better.

Why not have it both ways?   You could gain a boss and the enemy could gain a boss.

Heck, it would be awesome if we could join the stalker faction >:D

But more than anything, mounts would be of epic awesome.  I want to ride my own personal hyena pack into combat!

yeah mounts would love it but on the back of a hyena you wouldn't be able to aim worth a dam XD

I was thinking about infested bosses but scrapped that idea cause there are only two :/

J3 Golem, Phorid, Golem (Lephantis)? Those 3?

Posh.  Who cares about aiming when you have a hyena mount?

well J3 golem got scrapped but that does offer potential, I mean he's small enough, but is he really that tough enough? well i guess it doesn't matter on toughness since the idea of this is a nice integration of lore into the game as well as reviving the playability of invasion missions

I still would love to see a map where lephantis just suddenly joins in though.  On either side.

Could you imagine?

Imagine fighting on the infested side?  (Think of the words from the J3 golem especially to get where I'm going).

.. If Tyl Regor ends up coming into my Corpus invasion I'll like to see him duel against Prodmen. In fact I might just bring Loki with 50m radial disarm for that content specifically.

The gorilla of fate is turning.

Rebel 1!

Action!

(kudos to anyone who gets the actual reference)

In order to implement a invasion mission with Lephantis, we would need a VERY large tileset specifically for him, and due to his size, most of his actions would probably be heavily scripted to reduce glitches where Lephantis sees an enemy near a wall and has half his body go through the wall to reach the little guy

Actually, I personally think that would be amusing to all the hells.

Or we could just have an arena type area.  You know, you fighting either against/with lephantis in an arena like the ODA mission has?

Waves of enemies could pour in.  If you are allied with infested, the enemy corpus/grineer could pop in through pods.  Or maybe have a shield like on certain invasion missions that Lephantis couldn't pass and have them come in through the shield.

Or if you are on the corpus/grineer side, there could be enemies that would come through say holes in the walls to join in the fight.

You know, sort of like a standoff that occurs partway through the mission?
