How Does Platinum Discount Work?

does it affect market prices (i.e. warframe that was 100 plat is 50 plat with 50% discount) or is it for warframe.com (you can buy plat with cash for 50% less)?  I'm asking this because idk if I'm wasting time waiting for a discount to come my way.

The discount only affects the price of platinum itself and not market platinum prices for in game items.

What you do is, you buy a platinum pack then transfer all the platinum to me and you feel like an instant ninja.....no?

It affects the purchase of platinum only, but its really good, for example if you get a75 discount you can buy 1000 plat for 12.50 instead of the regular 50 dollars price. It only works once, so it's advisable to buy as a much as you can, or the amount you need, using the discount in a 5 dollars purchased would be kind of a waste in my opinion.

aw dang it, i already spent about 30 dollars to get some platinum.  That would have been enough for a prime access thingy or 1000+ plat if i was lucky enough :/

i don't think you can buy prime access with it though it think it only applies to regular plat.

Indeed - prime access not affected by the discount.  I can't help but sucker myself into plat every time that 50% discount pops up :P
