Question

Was looking at the wiki and saw:

  • When used with the Ogris and Penta it can be considered a damage multiplier as it increases the effective area of the explosion. As damage gets stronger closer to the epicenter of the explosion extending the range of the explosion also increases the effective damage area(s).

Now, I knew that about the Ogris, but does the Penta really have a damage modifier based on distance from the explosion? I always get very consistent numbers with it (etc always the same number against the same enemy) and have never noticed a distance factor to explosion damage.

And my other question: Does it change the length of the Ignis, or just the width of the affected area? I would use it for +length but dont really care about width.

For the Ignis, it changes the length, extending the cone. This means that it is just as wide at any point as it previously was, but can go farther, and therefor becomes wider.

What? Did you meant therefore becomes larger(in aoe size)?

Or its exactly the same, up until the point where without FS it would stop, and then it keeps going, getting wider as it goes?
