Seox
I just got done playing solo survival on earth on my oberon with maxed health/shields, and for the second mission in a row, died nearly instantly in very weird circumstances. I was surrounded by about four or five basic grineer troopers, taking about 100-200 damage every few seconds. I looked up at my health/shields and had about 400 of each left. I look back down about one second later and die instantly. I didn't see a bleed proc, but even if I had been procced I shouldn't have died that quickly. I know no other enemy types were present, and I was in an area that made it impossible for other enemies to come up on me that I wouldn't have seen. The heck happened? Treble557
I've had that happen on some corpus tilesets while doin invasion missions recently as my loki. My shields dont go down at all, I just enter a room and suddenly my 400hp is gone. No collateral dmg going on, no ones firing. I just fall over. Very curious as to whats goin on with that. and no theres no previous bleeds or anything on me. perfect condition, runnin around invis, nothings fighting, I just fall over. Agent_of_Change
Slash procs. I would bet that you were bleeding and didn't notice, regular troops can cause them and they will kill you very quickly. shut
Was one of the Grineer a leader? Level 15 Ice leaders have shredded apart my level 30 frames in a split second on multiple occasions. Each bullet hits like a truck, so if you're not careful, you're screwed regardless of whether a bleed proc even happens. Seox
Nope, just four grineer lancers in forest earth (which doesn't seem to have the lights) I've been bleed procced plenty; It doesn't make you bleed -that fast-. That said, so far not noticing one makes the most sense. Hm.
CubedOobleck
Might also have been one of those female grineer snipers, I think they do more damage than the troopers and she might have been far enough that you didn't notice her. Ryme
If you were on an Earth tilemap, it was probably one or more Hellion. They hover far off in the air and fire missile barrages at you.

I haven't fought many since their nerf, but unless they were needed into the ground completely, they should still be capable of doing terrifying amounts of damage on unsuspecting players.A mid-level Hellion can also take out a player from full health with one or two clusters of rockets. Seox
I'm 100% positive it wasn't a hellion or eviscerator - their attacks are far too distinctive for me to have not noticed that, and I considered things like that immediately.

Ballista? They, too, hit like trucks. XD

SgtCapricorn
The Leaders do crazy damage, and the Grineer shotgunners can spawn as Leaders that destroy you VERY fast. I was losing about 260 Shields per shot in the current alert and they shoot fairly quickly.
Noble_Cactus
Might have been a Seeker. Their Krakens hit like freight trains even when they're low-leveled, and if they proc a bleed its likely to finish you off without you even noticing. I too have been falling down from full health in one hit on maxed frames, with no leaders around. It's rare but very puzzling when it does happen. Seox
Yeah, I didn't see any special units - I'm positive there were none in my immediate vicinity, and while there could have been some further out, I don't believe there were. I'll try keeping an eye out for some of these things in the future. Thanks! [:
Yousho
Same thing happened to me a few times. Just standing around then I get blown back and take a lot of damage / die instantly. Maybe a stealth grenade?

Seox
Just had it happen again on my Rhino while livestreaming. Rewound multiple times to see what happened. For 90% of the stream, I was running up and down hallways with 1100~ shields and ~300 health taking fire from 4-10 enemies at a time, losing about 10 shields per hit for a total of 100 shields per second or two. I go running up a tube at one point and try to melee another fairly standard grineer trooper with a karak and am taken down from 800 shields to 0 in about 3 seconds. One guy. Somehow he did in three seconds what it took ten guys to do in eight. I watched it over and over again - I did not bleed proc. I was not hit by a grenade. I was enclosed in a room with ONE unit, so it wasn't anything else. The unit was not a leader. I was not hit by explosives. What happened...?? Seox
But I watched the replay; The traps don't show up in the forest tilesets and there weren't any leaders in the area.
(NSW)Omgwtfl9lbbl
I'd put my vote under Ballista or Hellion then. Hellion missiles are weird and can seek from an absurd range, and can be hard to spot as well. Ballista hit fairly hard and while they is normally balanced by the fact that they shoot pretty slowly, they often bug out and start firing at an extremely rapid pace, sometimes from a very high range and with pretty high accuracy, which can tear you to shreds quickly. DawnFalcon
Something odd's going on lately. Two of us (running together) suddently went down on void the other day, for instance. No big deal there...but if you were solo...
