[DE]Megan
PS4 Update If you didn’t catch Prime Time last night, Rebecca gave some information about the next PS4 build! 11 days ago Update 12 for PS4 went live, and we’re happy to announce that we plan on submitting to Cert next week! We’ll make an official post when it is submitted, but as of now the latest news is that the plan is next week for submission. PS4 will get everything from 12.1.0 to 12.4.4 (with the cherry picked Frost changes in 12.4.5). Clan Scoring Clan scoring has taken many forms over the course of Warframe events. Surrounding the most recent Tethra’s Doom Event, Devs have been triggered to further brainstorm a better way of scoring moving forward. Scoring has come a long way, as well as the scope and objective of events, but we still have more improvements to make. Feedback on how we can improve Clan scoring for events is always appreciated! Event Difficulty As we’ve stated before, balancing difficulty and solo-playability is an on-going process in regards to Events. Tethra’s Doom was the first to have an added ‘hard-mode’ for players that craved that little extra difficulty, but to some it wasn’t hard enough! Introducing a hard-mode with a small reward that wouldn’t cause an uproar(like the Quantum badge) could be a potential recurring plan. More Melee 2.0 Madness Last evening, Steve appeared in Prime Time and mentioned that ‘Melee 2.0’ is still indeed being worked on. This is turning into our most ambitious 2.0 yet, so we’ve really got to get everything as close to right, which takes time. Geoff updated us today on what the team is working on: Geoff: Lots of animations are being done for the combos for other weapon grips (like we showed in Devstream #24) and lots of effort on code to change the existing set-up to support the new system. Boosters as Consumables Players have pointed out Boosters shouldn’t activate right when you obtain them, but rather when you’re online. So why not change this you ask? Ultimately, as a self-published free-to-play game, our lifeblood is our players, and boosters are an incentive to stick around. The idea of Boosters as consumables that you can activate at your discretion or Boosters that only take effect when you’re online have potential, but active players play a huge role in Warframe’s success. Rhino vs Rhino Prime It’s true, Rhino Prime is slightly faster than Rhino. The topic of ‘Primes needing something better than their counterparts’ sparked the decision to implement this idea. The Prime vs. original frames and potential obsolescence is a discussion that always occurs with Primes, new and old, but the Prime version of gear is rarely the starting gear of players - they are goals to work toward. Weapon Balance Weapons appear in many different forms - from event weapons, to Prime weapons, they all serve a role and must fit within the balance. Initial reactions on the Gorgon Wraith is that it ‘wasn’t worth it’, but it’s important for us to introduce all weapons within balance. The idea of Prime/Dual variants being more challenging to use is interesting in concept, but not an overnight change that can be done. We want all weapons to be viable whether they have a Prime/Dual variant or not, and further discussion needs to be had. Melee 2.0 Mods With the addition of new Mods being introduced with Melee 2.0, it raises the question ‘Where will these new Mods go?’ . When Melee 2.0 is introduced these new Mods will be placed on enemies similar to current Mods, with the help of The Codex to determine their drops for the time being. When new mechanics are introduced like Badlands and Proxy War it will open up opportunities for these Mods to be placed.

Archistopheles
Happy Pi day Tennos! If that is true, then you need to add something to Ember, Frost, Mag and even Excalibur Prime for consistancy, or point out here in this thread the upgrade each of those Primes has over it's original. Edit: After some thought.... Prime version of gear is rarely the starting gear of players - they are goals to work toward. I would like to quote the Prime Access page: "Gain instant access to the newest Prime Gear and Exclusive items!" Valiant
When are you going to be fixing the dodgyness that is bleeding damage and proc? Seems this issue has been tossed to the side and forgotten. In regards to Primes, will the existing ones be given more 'significant' differences? Rhino's makes a difference. The rest? Not really. What is Frosts exactly? Edited March 14, 2014 by Naith
edryuu
Primes should have Stat boost from the start they stronger supposed to be but right now they just share stats which is a bother, I really hope it changes soon...highly doubt it though and i know some will not defend this so whatever
vasRayya
Clan scoring, in other words; scoring needs to be redone a bit so warbros don't get 1st every time

Could we at least choose when the booster starts? Not have it pause when you log off, but at least choose when it starts? for instance with this recent event I will not get to use the booster I worked for. Why? Because I won't be home until Saturday. I wish I could have started the booster on saturday but alas, nope.
--MANA--
excited to see the transformation of prime frames. would really prefer them to have a better ability animation wise, damage wise and effect wise.
Flareb00t
If you're going to do something that makes a Prime better than the original, DO NOT WIPE OUT THE SINGLE FLAW IN A BROKEN FRAME'S KIT. Rhino's saving grace from the ridiculous mess his kit offers is him being PC Plod in terms of speed. Yet Rhino Prime gets rid of that.
Fo0otsteps
The questions about melee 2.0 mods's position is actually where will they go in our load out, when it is already full with damage mods
Deidaku
yay , primes will be more than golden swag! Thanks De for listening ! :D Well ,time to go bash some heads! Llyssa
If it was intentional to make rhino prime that fast, the other primes need some serious boosting. At the moment, rhipri is the strongest frame in the game, hands down. That's remarkably unbalanced, and rather silly considering that he's the 5th prime released. If primes are meant to be substantially better than regular frames, then ALL primes should be substantially better. He should not be an exception. Either buff the other primes, or nerf him. Either way, he's very much out of line with the rest of the game.

Althix
We want all weapons to be viable whether they have a Prime/Dual variant or not, and further discussion needs to be had. well... obviously developer is doing it wrong. and with damage 2.0 in general. there is only 2-3% of arsenal which is viable. value of prime gear is zero, when players must go throught 9 circles of grind in order to get them. and what's the point when mr6 weapons from a market are just superior. I see little sense in that. Why game is basically empty, but instead we have a lot of weapons to level and sell? the gap between the player and the developer is so great that even rushed loki with dual zorens can't copter over it. sedu13
About Rhino Prime, why buff his speed of all things? He already has Vanguard for that. He looks bulkier, why not an armor buff? And where is the buff to the past Primes?
Riccoshot
If you're stating all these obvious things, why wasn't it done yet? It's really hard to understand why didn't you gave old prime frames some boost yet, and then a Rhino comes with boosted sprint speed. Gorgon Wraith is just everything original Gorgon should have been and nothing more. On the weapon balance... Boltor Prime is extreme power creep compared to original one. I would not argue if it was around Soma DPS level, but this is just silly. I farmed for it, forma'ed and get back to mid-high level weapons with interesting builds which i really enjoy more. Akbronko Prime feels really meh... they're kinda... hard to use in a current game, statwise (mainly accuracy, mag size, reload speed combo) Edited March 14, 2014 by Riccoshot
AhziDahaka
I agree with Zerrien--it'd make a lot of sense to just remove warframe abilities from mod drop circulation since there's literally no reason for them to be there--you can't sell your last one, so there's no need for replacements, and they're very quick to level up as well. The only thing anyone uses them for is selling, transmuting, or fusion fodder. As for Gorgon Wraith, I'm actually very happy with it! It's clearly a handy anti-Corpus tool--just slap magnetic and get that proc chance up and you can annihilate the shields of an incoming horde. I also do agree that event weapons should be not be outshining everything else out there--it's not fair if all the best stuff has to be gotten via events. For Rhino Prime, I think the problem isn't so much that it has a little something extra so much as that something extra is speed. Rhino is supposedly slow in order to balance out its general usefulness otherwise (it's practically impossible to kill in lower levels and is a great offensive support in later levels). Making it take off like a rocket everywhere is just overboard and seems counter to what Rhino's role is supposed to be (not to mention it takes away what little utility Rhino Charge has). Frankly, Vanguard made Rhino too fast as it was! I think it would be more appropriate for Rhino Prime to have higher armor and/or health.
