(PSN)ariaandkia
Just some ideas for additional mission types or addons to existing mission types: Swarm: Basis Survival: The tenno must reach a certain location and then activate a beacon. After the beacon is activated, the tenno must survive wave after wave of enemies charging at the tenno in increasingly massive waves until rescue arrives. By wave after wave, I mean a stream of enemies that is slowly growing in size and power. Every few minutes (say 20 minutes), players will receive a reward or a set of rewards (perhaps they might receive a forma or they might receive a forma blueprint, some various resources, a key, and a prime part, like in survival and be given a brief amount of time (say 2 minutes) to reach a semi-random location where an escape ship will have spawned and docked. Boss rush: Basis Defense and Extermination and Assassination: The tenno has reached a certain location, they must defend against all would-be looters of a hidden item. Such value does the item hold that bosses from various locations have come to claim it. Bosses would come one by one at first and every five waves, there would be improved boss fights with multiple bosses appearing. Say 2 for a while then 3 then 4. Maybe even up to 12 bosses at a time? The tenno would have to fight against these bosses that have come, sometimes with bosses of different factions teaming up together for they have decided that it would be better to work together to defeat the tenno then fight each other-rather than fighting each other first. Assassination: Instead of the standard assassination missions, tenno will now be forced to do certain activities to unlock the path to the target. There may be hidden levers that must be pulled to release doors elsewhere, switches that disable traps, maybe even a switch to temporarily turn off power so that the enemies cannot see the tenno and so that various traps are disabled for a time. Once at the boss fight, the tenno must undergo difficult fights with much enhanced bosses. There may be environmental effects that the tenno may use against the bosses, there may be various platforms that the tenno may use. Perhaps the there is a switch that would alter the gravity on the ship so that various platforms may start floating so that the tenno may fight the bosses from different angles? The bosses would be bigger, stronger, tougher, and have more varied abilities. Instead of simply fighting a human sized enemy, perhaps the enemy would be rebuilt, remodeled, genetically engineered to be a hulking beast that could compare to Lephantis. Perhaps the boss could be climbable? The boss could do certain actions to alter the flow of the battle-perhaps they might grow extra heads? Maybe summon some enemies? maybe cutting off one head will make it grow into more heads? Maybe you must finish the boss by crushing them under rubble when it is almost dead rather than shooting it or meleeing it. Maybe a pit of death that you must toss the boss into when they are low on health? Datamass protection: Basis Mobile Defense and Spy: The players are in charge of four datamasses. These datamasses cannot be stacked together. While the datamasses are on a certain platform, the players will have access to minor defenses that will help the player fight within a short range of those defenses (maybe buffs for the player, debuffs for the enemies, attacks against the enemies, healing for the players, etc). Players would be able to switch between defense types and the types would slowly grow stronger as time went on. However, the enemies would grow stronger faster. For each datamass removed from the platform, the defenses would grow weaker. And if all the datamasses are lost, the mission is failed. Enemies will try to take the datamasses, then will attempt to run towards extraction locations where they will leave with the datamasses. When that happens, the tenno must kill the enemy and take the datamass back to the platform. Alternatively, the tenno could carry the datamasses (not stackable so each tenno could only carry one) themselves in order to protect the datamasses with their lives. Rampage: Basis Extermination: The players must reach a location and kill everything in their path. There will be various traps scattered around that will range from merely disabling buffs to deactivate all active abilities to disabling abilities for several moments. These will be avoidable, but cannot be completely disabled - only the sensor can be destroyed. When one activates, all will activate, including ones with the sensors destroyed. Enemies will be constantly spawning in and will slowly grow stronger. Once the player reaches the extraction, they will gain rewards based on how much the team has killed. This would mean that if the team killed nothing, they would get nothing. However, if they killed thousands of enemies, they might earn thousands. Each kill would count as 5 credits. So 1000 enemies would be 5000 credits. However, in addition to credits, the player could earn resource rewards, mods that enemies of that area could drop, keys, and other goodies depending on how much the team has killed. Stealth Capture: Basis Capture and Spy and Survival: The player must reach a location unseen and capture enemy intelligence. However, the intelligence is being held by an rather powerful enemy. If the player is detected-including a few seconds after an enemy is killed, the enemy will destroy the intelligence rather than allowing it to be taken. The map will have many stealth points where the player can enter to hide from enemies. Some of these locations could be rather hard to reach while others might be simple. Once the player reaches where the enemy is, they must take the intelligence stealthily (instead of a stealth kill, there could be a stealth steal). Why do they have to keep the enemy alive? Because the enemy will notice if someone is killed! And if the enemy with the intelligence doesn't give his regular report, they will flood the entire area with deadly and flammable toxin and blow up the entire area to prevent the tenno from escaping with the intelligence. If the intelligence holder is killed, after a few seconds, the enemy would be alerted and the tenno would have to fight against the dangerous toxin in order to survive (sort of like survival after air runs out) and after the toxin reaches a certain level, the enemy will release an explosion that will take out the tenno (or at least destroy the intelligence). Escape! : Basis Survival and Deception: The player starts off trying to do some activity, such as placing bad information into the enemy database. However, something goes wrong! Suddenly a giant mass of infested growth is appearing. The player must run to extraction before the mass devours them up. Swarms of infested enemies will appear and a new miniboss of the infested faction could appear, a massive growth that quickly rushes at the tenno. But the tenno have no way to defeat it, they must run. They cannot fight it for it chases them, quickly splitting into multiples as it is killed (when one is killed, it splits into two) and growing stronger by devouring anything in the path. It is a race against the enemy to reach extraction for if the enemy reaches extraction first, there may no longer be an extraction. The tenno must run against all odds, fortunately, the enemy has destroyed certain portions of the map. Elevators have fallen to their lowest floor, with only a little bit of power remaining. Many traps have been disabled. Doors have been forced open due to malfunctions. Escaping from the enemy (not defeating it, but escaping) would reward the tenno. Trust breaker: Basis Assassination and Capture: The player must stop two enemies, one from each faction, from meeting. This will not be by killing the home turf enemy (the enemy already there), but by eliminating the enemy that will be coming from a different faction. The Tenno must reach a location before a certain time and lay in wait for the ambassador of sorts to arrive. And the Tenno must eliminate the ambassador to prevent the two factions from working together for if they join forces, the power balance could be completely changed. But the tenno must take care to only destroy the ambassador and its bodyguards as they must take care to put the blame upon one side. Yet, the tenno must also eliminate all the witnesses. This means that the tenno must find a good location to do their otherwise easy assassination.
