(PSN)Wa_Pox
I found it was a nice addition for dynamic gameplays when the invasion system was implemented. It threw in some unexpected results with factions taking over new planets, aggressive take-overs, gritty defense. Lately, I don't know what's happening, but the factions seems to be sleeping on their bacon. Besides the occasionnal sneeze-lasting Infestations, the Grineer seems content to let 2 of their original planets (Uranus and Saturn) at the hands of the Corpus. I believe the Hyperion invasion has been going on for over a week now without a result, every other conflict has been resolved and almost no new popped up. The Grineer tried their hands at Neptune but seem to have lost interest in fighting after their first win. Same happened to the Corpus on Pluto. I tought the Harvester would help revitalize the system like it did on PC, since the Grineer had a lot of lost territory to conquer back, but it's even more dead now... Is it because of a lack of player activity ? Is there a problem with the formulas determining invasions rate and such ? It was a great way to bring dynamism and change to the star chart and animate the life and tension between the factions of the solar system (also the rewards were good), but now it feels left out. My Rhino roars for war ! Nekros asks for more cadavers to desecrate. Nyx wants to harvest dissent in the minds of her enemies at each others throat. Please revitalize the invasions... (PSN)Garrison64
On those 5 part missions people just want to get them over with as quickly as possible and unfortunately the Grineer are easier to fight than the Corpus. Most take the path of least resistance when the reward is the same. Unfortunately this has lead to Corpus control on many nodes. There needs to be some balance to change this or the Corpus will eventually rule everything.
(PSN)Wa_Pox
My problem is not that's it's one-sided or not, that a faction would be favored over another it's what makes it dynamic and fun. it's that there seems to be a huge slow-down in the invasions. No new invasion missions in almost 3 days other than the quickly gone infestations. Its a very interesting mechanic that could be more present... At the moment it seems to be overlooked, but it might just be a phase...
(PSN)vivan000
Sadly, but they nerfed them, to keep one side from capturing all the system. Looks like balancing rewards to motivate players to support loosing side is way too hard for DE. Too make things worse, with next update they'll nerf rewards too (well, at least on PC they did it, but I don't know in what update).
(PSN)Fbeast2
In my humble opinion there is no reason to fight for either faction other than reward. Without any lore, how do you decide which side you like. I fight on a side solely on reward and getting a death mark for the harvester. That means I fight 5 times for the grineer only for the death-mark and hopefully they have the better reward so I don't need to fight any more invasions. After the next update I guess I will have to fight on both sides to get marked for the Harvester and G3. As far as which faction has control of a system, it just doesn't matter to me. (PSN)Stinja
Basically unless its a potato or Forma, i ignore both invasions and infestations. If it is one of those, then i turn on private, take my most OP stuff, and speed-grind the 5 missions. I timed these with a mate, solo or with him, i could do one invasion mission in 2.5 to 4 mins, and under 5 with loading etc typically (so all done in under 30 or so mins). That same mission with randoms could be 10-15 mins (im not impolite enough to speed in a team). Given those same times just earning credits or basic resources, they are not worth my time (except mutagen etc, but ive enough of those now). Im guessing others think this too, which is why some invasions just sit there for days and days. PC had the wild swings, as first they had Harvester (without oxium), tending to the gineer dominance. Then oxium, swinging back. Because PS4 got both at once, we've not seen those same extremes. DE seriously need to rethink alerts, invasions and infestations though.
