As a big fan of the tenno assault rifle SOMA. I hope DE would make a soma prime in the future updates. Higher damage, higher critical chance and high critical multiplier, and of course a prime look to the weapon. :) So please DE make a some prime. xD

I hope higher crit chance and damage, but for trade off I'd gladly lower my fire rate.

That could actually be interesting. Raise crit damage and chance only SLIGHTLY, slight boost to the base stats, but give it a really slow fire rate, like a nice solid bang - bang - bang instead of the current dakkadakkadakkadakkadakka

Even if we eventually get a balance pass on the damage numbers and crit chances and such, the platform will always be OP. A large magazine, high accuracy weapon with a high RoF and acceptable reload speed is just silly. Most shooter low TTK games literally balance weapons around ONLY these factors.

Soma Prime needs some kind of off-the-wall change instead of a buff. Maybe just have it do elemental base damage and otherwise nearly identical stats. Or deepen the focus with a much longer spool-up time, but more accuracy and damage.

What about lowering the crit rate and RoF and raising the status chance?

It's a PvE CO-OP game actually. If players can stomp the game into the dirt then there is no co-op, just four people soloing in the same game with no concern or attention for eachother beyond the occasional rez necessitated only by carelessness in action or lack of preparation.

The only challenge we have right now, for high end, are endless mission types which are great if you're already a co-op player, but this breeds a general community that believes they're supposed to be pwning the whole game and then becomes perplexed when they suddenly hit a difficulty wall. They think something is wrong with their gear, enemies are imbalanced, or that other people are not 'supporting' them when they suddenly fall flat on their face with no introduction to co-op and no requirement or incentive for co-op on the journey upwards.
