The Solar rails, is it by clan tiers liek:


all the rails will take you to the same place but

Moon Clan Solar Rails - owned by (sampleM.clan)
they set their own toll payment
can only be challenged by other M.clans

Mountain Clan Solar Rails - owned by (sampleMt.clan)
they set their own toll payment
can only be challenged by other Mt.clans

Storm Clan Solar Rails - owned by (sampleS.clan)
they set their own toll payment
can only be challenged by other S.clans

Shadow Clan Solar Rails - owned by (sampleSh.clan)
they set their own toll payment
can only be challenged by other Sh.clans

Ghost Clan Solar Rails - owned by (sampleG.clan)
they set their own toll payment
can only be challenged by other G.clans

or is it a free for all ultimate clan wars with some alliance and stuff:

moonclan1  had no allies but they have ultra low taxes applied to the rails
but then a hardcore ghostclan1 plans to take it from the moonclan1
but knows that they cant compete with a thousand tennos
so they allied with moonclan2 and is now goin to try taking it,
but the moonclan1 had low taxes for the Rails so,
the lone tennos liked the taxes and they decide to help moonclan1

Has DE provided anymore information on this, besides what was mentioned during Devstream #22?

 Well according to the DC post on it, as far as we know, it's supposed to be more like 2. They are just a way to create paths to new areas that clans can own, you need to pay to do the missions, so you can get bps/new/rare resources.

 

 If you don't like the way they are running it, collaborate with another clan to take over the area by building your own tower and then doing a bunch of PVE missions. I speculate the main idea is for clans to create CONGLOMERATES/BIG ALLIANCES based around who they support in the proxy war and what they believe in so they can get back up from those factions. Think EVE player factions with some AI faction back-up.

 

 It fails to mention non clan players and whether they can participate in the fight for sides on the space superhighway. I can see it being implemented like an invasion mission, that might be a little lack luster though.So expect something special. 

 

Example(My speculation)

Ghost clan 1 builds a tower first(with no allies)

tower gets demolished by Moon clan+5 Ghostclans+2 mountain clans in Super alliance who fight for grineer

 

Ghost Clan 1  ran the area better and are sided with Tenno council

Ghost Clan 1 Calls for backup on forums, all tenno council people and corpus people see it in their interest to hold the area so an alliance is formed secretly build a tower in the system in their MEGA ALLIANCE which wins out

Ghost Clan 1 leaves alliance when allies are logged off and takes over area.

 

@OP So yeah it will probably be like 2 with some deceit and betrayal down the road.
