Ogris Click, Click, Click No Shot

Question

LOL I just built Ogris and for the first few levels of a defense I was pulling the trigger only to have nothing happen. Luckily my Sentinel stepped it up. After finally realizing I had to hold the trigger it worked fine.

Have a question though about the blasts. I know I can accidentally blow myself up but are my fellow Tenno at danger if I blast a Grineer that they are meleeing with?

If an enemy shots the rocket, it will damage everyone around, friend or foe.

As they said before. No, only foes unless an enemy proc`d radiation on you, then you can hit allies.

I hear you, but experience says otherwise. But assuming that what you say is indeed correct, then a few episodes, where especially one stands out, leaves me puzzled as to what really happened.

Fighting grineers, everyone is gathered at the pod and it is wave 1, mate shots his ogris, rocket blows almost instantly after leaving the barrel, everyone died.

Are you sure he wasn`t proc`d radiation?

Maybe ⇩

What if I put on elemental damage that creates radiation?

I think that would only affect enemies. I can`t find anything that suggests otherwise although it could be proved with some testing.
