Change Of Scenery Please?

80% of the maps in this game look exactly like every other map in the game. I think I've seen the exact same inside of a grineer ship probably a million times now. Do they devs plan on adding more unique levels/looks/outdoor missions to the game because I'm basically seeing the same few areas over and over it feels like. Would like to see more wide open spaces and amazing scenery that you can already find in the game but just oh so rarely. Also would love to see more enemy types as well. I'm just curious if anyone knows if the devs are working expanding on either of these two things as right now they both just seem so limited.

They are working on these things, albeit slowly. Other things are just more important or are already in the pipes. Example, the Grineer shipyard that is being released has been in work for a few months now.

Even then, though, I personally would rather see the people in charge of level art and design focusing more on adding unique rooms to what we already have rather than trying to make a new tileset with 3 rooms and 13 hallways like earth when it first came out.

I saw this topic a year ago.

Phobos, Europa, Jupiter, etc. all have new and exciting tilesets, most of which meet your outdoor criteria.

Derelcts and void missions will probably eventually get different tiles to spawn, but will look similar to how they do now.

To be honest, it's the best it's been these past 15 months. However, as far as new stuff is concerned, I know they're working on a "hive" level for the infested. That way all 3 factions will have a unique place to call home.

I feel like I should mention that new enemies, tiles, and tilesets are all coming at some point... that both of these ideas are projects currently underway...Check the livestreams.

I always imagined it as this:

Each faction has their own look...really corpus with shiny metal and glassy floors, and grineer with steampunk rusted iron.

Each planet has its own look, most of the time you are inside (space station type building?) youll see different looking stuff based on the planet you are on.  Some planets (not gas giants) youll have outdoor terrain based on well..the planet...others (gas giants) might have outdoor causeways where you see the atomosphere.

And that's it...earth has earth like terrain mars is like a desert...Jupiter has a brown thick atmosphere..Neptune blue

Its all fitting.

What did you want a mushroom forest?

Were mostly raiding enemy outposts...and most planets are not hospitable so outdoor time is minimal...

I don't want to be romping around imaginary mushroom forests on Uranus because that doesn't make damn sense.

I would like a new faction, with a new look...put them on giant space stations that go into other planets orbit or something.  Just make the style look unique.

They are adding in more. It takes time to design, create, and debug new tilesets, though, so you'll have to be patient.

That text you quoted was meant to include the 'beyond'. :p

you put void, and derelict. <- with a period... lol Maybe try the "..." at the end. like a TO BE CONTINUED... deal.

It'd be nice to see them spice up the tilesets a bit. Even though they've been adding more, they all start to feel the similar after a while. New scenery is nice, but we run these maps so often that we barely even notice anything around us besides the stuff we run over or nearby. Which all looks pretty much identical for each faction on any of the tilesets (Grineer rusty brownish metallic walls/walkways, and the Corpus shiny silver/slightly blue walls/walkways). It'd be nice to start seeing much more variation in both how navigate these tilesets and the overall visual design for them.

Unnecessary. Let me explain by quoting my previous post and highlighting a certain part of it.

And more non-planet based tilesets on top of that for things like the Void and Derelict.

The Void and Derelict go beyond the planets, and I was talking about things like that; things which go beyond the planets.

This really isn't worth arguing about. I said what I said. I'm done here.

Then I shall continue where you left off, even though you claim you didn't leave off, but now confirmed a leave off to a post that explained you didn't leave off causing a leave off in the leave off counter post to leave off where you left off in question... permanently ...

Anyway! On to the main topic I am sure more open rooms will come... because... Well...

Moazilla is going to need a bigger room...
