((presumably Sergeant Vega))

"Nice to meet you Harrad and Anastasia." said Katya. "There's a possibility we might be working together in the future, I'd like to know if you guys knew what we'd be up against."

Harrad thought for a moment before he responded, "That is entirely up to those running this. There are a total of nine rounds or so it says and there is a break every three rounds." As he spoke, he tapped the lower section of his helmet. "Of course, judging by the things we were warned to be prepared for and the examples of what we could face, we may end up fighting Infested and even hired soldiers."

Anastasia added on, "Don't forget the chances Tenno might be hired to fight as part of the challenge.  Sergeant Vega mentioned mercenaries."

The distinct click-click-click of talons against the ship's steel floor, and a current of cooled air announced the arrival of a foreboding, eerie figure.

((Haven't cropped it to a profile yet, so here's the whole thing))

500pxdesperate_by_snaleking-d7aiwhc.png

Galus surveyed the interior of the ship, unimpressed as always with what Grineer called engineering. He came for one thing; to test his new modifications, and since no sane Dojo would allow him entry, he may as well vent his wrath against the worst this little arena could throw at him. The Crucible promised lethal force would be inhibited, but Galus was keen to disprove that.

Instead of his beloved Dakra, razor-sharp Forma claws had been grafted over his hands and feet, for a more personal finish, but twin Cestras were at his sides when that would be impractical.

He scanned for where to begin the fight, and grinned widely beneath his helm when he spotted something so much better. Who else than his old friend Lia, and what would have been Harvester Kayla. He approached them from behind, making no attempt whatsoever to hide his presence.

"Mia cara, how long has it been? Keeping my Dakra in shape, I see?"

Lia's blood froze before it boiled again in an instant. "Galus..." she said behind gritted teeth before releasing her restraints and her powers spiked yet again. "Sis, don't lose control, this is a public area, we can't kill him here." whispered Katya. Realising that her sister was right, Lia calmed down and levitated the siphons back in place.

Harad turned to see who the newcomer was and was quite surprised by what he saw. In fact, he wasn't sure at first just what he was looking at until the Tenno started to talk to it and an Orokin weapons was mentioned. The only being he knew of that would wield Orokin weapons and not some patchwork attempt at replicating them or integrating them into existing technology were the Tenno. That brought up even more questions such as just what that Tenno had done to himself and the hostility between him and the other two. Seems the Tenno are still somewhat divided after Gravidus. Wonderful.

Anastasia looked the Tenno up and down as if scanning him. He definitely didn't look like any known Warframes, that much she was certain of. She guessed what he was simply by method of elimination. He definitely wasn't Grineer and he wasn't Corpus either. Infested weren't known for talking much either are being so smooth and defined in certain areas. "I take it you two don't exactly get along."

Galus laughed aloud, though the metallic noise that rasped from under his helmet could hardly be recognized as that. "Katya, tangeor, veritas. Your restraint is truly to be admired, especially considering how much worse you've had it than Lia. Oh, I do wish you'd seen Alad's face when you died, the combination of disappointment and inspiration was uniquely entertaining. I'd honestly thought you were gone for good, but I suppose we're both testaments to Alad's work, in different ways."

He flexed his glinting claws. "Illae amasne, Lia? I was hoping you would, it was no easy task getting Forma pure enough, but I think it was worth it in the end, for you. I owe you so much, have I told you that already?" Galus tipped his unnaturally elongated neck closer, the stylized scar-mark on the left of his helmet inches from Lia's face. "Seventeen. Since you crushed my old, useless body, and let me start anew, I've killed seventeen barbaric Tenno. Enough to improve myself, and recreate an old friend of mine, Harvester Tharsis. He's busy now, couldn't meet me here, but I promised him I'd introduce you next time."

Lia's eyes widened under her helmet from his taunting. Her rage was showing clear as day when the siphons started glowing with power, struggling to keep her power under control. Katya's built-in derringers popped out involuntarily as her upper lip curled into a snarl. The two sisters were mad now, really really mad.

"You work for Alad V?", Harad questioned as he entered into the conversation, if it could really even be called that with the amount of hostility between the Tenno. When Alad V was involved, so was the Board as he still had a debt to pay to the Board because of Gravidus and Frohd Bek's attempted assault on the Gas City at Jupiter. He doubted he would have much of a chance against the augmented Tenno but if he watched as the other two fought him, Harad could probably take this Tenno into custody when his body was broken and he was unable to resist.

"He does work for Alad V. He's a betrayer to the Tenno cause of balance. He's a living monument to what we must never become." said Katya towards Harad.

"Oh!" Galus feigned taking a step back, his body twisting sickeningly in mockery of fear. "Did I anger you? Have I harmed you somehow? Oh-" he stepped closer again. "I don't think I have, actually. Ever. But it's not about that, we know that, don't we? It's about the Tenno, the eighty-seven I've wiped from this universe. I can hardly blame you, we all have people we care about. You know who I care about?

The Corpus. Every grunt, every prod-swinging sod. I know you must have killed, how many, ten thousand? Twenty? What torments have you visited upon them? Not that it matters. Balance is a lie, you kill millions to save a ludicrously fortunate elite."

Galus made a sound of intense disgust, entirely reminiscent of Zanuka's shriek. "But you can't even do that. You knew it would be the right thing to kill me when you had the chance, but you had to torture me, make me suffer, because in the end, that's all you Tenno want. Superiority. To look down on the quavering, desperate victims of your power and know that their life and death is in your merciless hands. Do you know the price of that fleeting glee, though?

Your soul. My body. Seventeen of your precious Tenno's lives, animus Oroki, I hope you think that's worth it, because I can't imagine the kind of hell it must be to live every day knowing you could have stopped the slaughter of what you love most, but instead let me writhe in boneless agony for your sick pleasure."

A Elite Lancer enters The Crucible and lets out a small, tired moan. He just heard about this place but a bar and a fighting arena sound perfect for him. He sees the bar and walks over and sits on one of the stools. He begins to mutter to himself as he sets his Karak and Brokk next to him.

"Forty-eight hour nonstop patrol for all of us?! Just for Hellik talking back to him?! Next time she tries to I'm shooting her in the leg. A bit of rest, a few drinks, some fights amd I'll be better. "

Putting his hand to his head he says to no one in particular, "Something strong."

"I'll relish the day that you feel your own blade slip past your armour and into you. And I will watch as your life slips away from you. But that day is not today. Not while you're here out of the arena. If I am to kill you, it must be in the field. Not in a controlled environment such as this." said Lia before being interrupted by Katya. "He's not much of a threat really, when he tried to kill me with his claws, I had almost killed him before he could touch me. He's all talk and no reflexes." said Katya with a smirk under her helmet. "So, I don't think you'll have much of a problem with him. So much for being lauded as one of Alad V's most powerful assassins. Even the Stalker's better than he is."

"All talk. Hm. I do try to use reason and intelligence before brute force, so I can understand why you Tenno would dislike that. No threat, though?"

Galus' mocking, almost chirpy voice dropped instantly. "There are eighty-seven Tenno who wished that was true. I am wearing nine of them. You are right about one thing, though," with a jerk and hiss, his helmet retracted, revealing part of the horror he'd been morphed into. His skull had healed into a grotesque, oblong shape fitting his modified helmet. His ear and nose cartilage was gone, with both rows of teeth uncovered by lips and translucent, bleached skin shrink-wrapped his skull and thin musculature. "This is no place for me," when Galus spoke, his jaw separated into two halves, connected by paper-thin skin. His long, sinuous tongue rasped along his jagged teeth as he spoke in a low hiss. "I belong where I have been sent. Tossed into an ungrateful solar system, cutting out the new tumor eating at its heart.

You have made me into what I needed to be. For that, you may be the last. When I stand over you, in whatever form I must adopt to survive and serve, your powers foiled and your allies dead, I will finish what you could not," Galus snapped the helmet back on, and started stalking out of the Crucible.

"Because I am not the monster."

Harad looked to Lia and Katya before looking to Galus. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, not entirely sure what to do. It seemed that Galus was something of a help to the Corpus cause in general but the amount of support he was giving Alad V was worrisome. For every Tenno that was brought into Alad V's laboratory on Jupiter, no doubt another Harvester was created. They couldn't have an army of Harvesters and Zanuka coming in. Alad V had been said to aim for the seat of Board chairman before he was fired. "Alad V has brought much misfortune upon the Corpus and cost the Board millions of credits in property due to Gravidus alone. He is classed as a traitor."

Anastasia joined in or rather, commented. "And I thought genetic deterioration from cloning was bad. Some of you Tenno sure do a number on yourselves and each other. Let's save that aggression for the challenges for now, shall we? You can tear each other limb from limb outside if that's what you want."

The Arena Candidate's officer looked over possible candidates, behind him were the large doors to the Arena as well as the large signpost with ALL the rules linked to both the station and the Crucible Arena "Alright alright one at a time and no fighting! you know the rules, the Sargent hates having bodies on his ship!" shouted the Grineer using a typical translator from the CORPUS. He motions for Anastasia, the Grineer Gunner to come forward first

"Name, Rank, Faction"

The Lancer looks over to the Grineer who began to talk and thought about heading to the viewing platform, but his body quickly reminds him of why he came here.

'Hopefully I can at least stand and watch the first fight,' he thinks to himself. 'But not without a drink or two at least before that can happen.'

He looks over at the group near the arena entrance to see who will be participating first

(Wow I need to find what happened to Galus, he seems scarier than I remember.)

Thanks, Sumika. If Drakeardian doesn't mind me staffing for the bar, I'll go ahead then

The Crucible

The Bar

Putting his hand to his head he says to no one in particular, "Something strong."

Without a word, the surly bartender put down the glass he was wiping and fetched a clean tankard from under the counter. With a snap of his fingers, his assistant- a reprogrammed MOA built from salvaged Corpus robotics, arrived at his side with a bottle of Ceres's infamous double-distilled Exta Brew. Popping open the bottle with his strong knuckles, the bartender filled the tankard with a generous serving of the drink and set it down in front of his customer with a thunk. The MOA did an erratic jig as it placed the bottle onto the counter and returned to its work.

Once a mechanic at a civillian-run garage at the Arcadia station of Mar's Solar Rail network, the bartender fled the colony during the Gradivus conflict and found himself captured by a Grineer interceptor ship. The ship malfunctioned shortly after, but he managed to assist its management in holding its crumbling engine together long enough for it to dock at the nearest ship- the Crucible. It was there that his competence in mixing drinks was discovered by the crew, who decided to keep him around. They also found his white moustache intriguing, since the Grineer crew themselves generally lacked much of the hair that humans had.

The MOA at his side was constructed by him from salvaged electronics, a damaged MOA frame and a composite-alloy hull bought from various scrap dealers. It was programmed with an outdated version of the Corpus MOA movement drivers coded with a robot waiter AI, which was enough to help it get the job done. The laser repeater that stood atop the head of traditional MOAs was replaced with a magnetic kinesis gun, which helped the MOA lift and carry objects.

Anastasia stepped forward as asked. "Anastasia Kyriu, Corporal, Grineer Frontier Force." If it was one thing, she took pride in attaining the rank of Corporal. Many Grineer didn't live long enough to reach such a rank, what with combat being the end of quite a few marines. Still, what she truly aspired for was an even higher rank such as Sergeant or even General."

He lifts the tankard in a gesture of thanks and sets it back down so he can take the front of his helmet off so he can drink. The face that appears from it is typical of any other Grineer but with not as much scarring, his eyes are red from not having any sleep in the last two days. The top of a tatoo are just barely visible on the side of his neck as the rest is hidden by his armor. He downs some of the drink as he fishes in his armor for credits to pay for the drink.
