Brunhilde caught the ninja's hand before the blade made contact and broke it with her armoured grip, causing the blade to be dropped and allowing her to grab the assailant and pull her in closer for a headbutt.

Brunhilde doesn't quite grab the arm but she does manage to grab the elongated blade of the nikana, the sharp end digging into the palm of her hand, warm blood starting to drip onto it as the Ninja let go and disappeared into the moonlit smoky darkness before Brunhilde tries to do any more harm.

The crowd cheered for Van, Brunhilde and the Ninja's performance, however there were a few hecklers in the crowds. Most of them on the lines of doing something more interesting or they've seen worse mental breakdowns from their grandmothers.

"Where are you?" Brunhilde shrieked at the disappeared ninja or at least where she thought it was. "Come out so I can end you! PAINFULLY!"

Ulf kept returning fire, firing off round after round with his Akvasto's, working on putting down his opponents one by one. Finding a spot to stand his ground, Ulf fired off a Snow Globe, encasing himself in his protective bubble as he continued his barrage.

Brunhilde will never see the Ninja again, however Van ends up getting a transmission from the Meridian Elite.

"Wind. You have proven great strength against us, You are a bird with a clipped wing and you have proven much to us. I challenge you to face me! one on one!" And the Veil lands on a tree branch which had re-materialised in-front of Van "The Grineer is unworthy to face me with her wings. But you're different..."

The Elite removes a pair of fang daggers from her holsters and prepares to go up against the one armed Zephyr!

Van stood up holding his scythe in the nook of his arm, "You figure they'll just let you out or are you looking for a clean death?" He looked at the Meridian Elite but didn't make any aggressive movements. Letting himself gather his breath as he talked a little to this combatant.

Van dropped the head of his scythe off of his shoulder holding onto the grip so that the shaft was outwards toward the elite as the blade dipped past his right foot he kicked it into a spiral to help ward off the Elite's offensive, though it was uncertain how much protection the quick spin of the chitin weapon would offer against the quick blades.

Thankfully the branch he had perched upon was wider than some allowing him to turn his defensive block into an offensive action. As the blade neared his left foot a second time he shifted it's plane of rotation so that he could use the momentum from the kick to spin himself. Using his back as a brace for the shaft Van turned over his right shoulder the blade pointed outward from his back as it came around towards his attacker. This was a risky maneuver given that it left his back open for the time but he couldn't have gotten the momentum needed to perform a correct strike without leaving himself open to attack another way.

Van continued with his spin until his front faced the Meridian again.

Her eyes were widened and she let a loud and coarse scream loose, Brunhilde was in a rage that most of the audience had never seen before. Forgoing the shield and machete, she decided to go at the ninja barehanded, confident that she would come out on top.

Grabbing the ninja as it flipped with her hands, she slammed it into the ground and began wailing on the ninja after climbing on top.

"Even I must admit that this chick has serious anger problems, perhaps even greater than mine, and that is already a bit too much". The Napalm was impressed at the display of gore and death that this Arena showed him so far, making his desire to fight even stronger.

"This one deserves my attention, definitely", and with this statement, he threw one Large Health Restore at Brunhilde (as he heard it's companions call her that way). "It will cost me a bit to replace that one, but to hell with it, I wanna see more action!".

The Ninja quickly back-flipped away from the attacking Van or Wind as he was called before throwing some Kunai's to distract the Tenno before launching up and trying a foot to the helmet technique to try and stun him.

The crowd cheered for the fight and the Commander watched calmly as the fight progressed.

"Damn." She whispered.

"Thank you for the help." She said politely, then proceeded to walk about, pinging Caldor once more.

"Caldor? Are you there?' She asked. "I would like to talk to you for a minute..."

She adopted a brisk walking pace, as well as thoroughly scanning the rooms inside the Fomorian ship. The architecture might make things a bit interesting.

"Ismiri? Are you safe? I awoke and left the ship to find you only to find this vessel is full of Grineer. I know Ana requires help but to bring her to the enemy. I don't understand."

As Van turned fully to face the Ninja one of the Kunai pegged him in the arm piercing through the cast, frame, and flesh of his injured arm. Biting down on he created a strong sphere of wind around him to deflect the other kunai. This wind was strong enough even to throw off the Ninja's attempt to step on Van's head. A quick back-step later Van dropped the Scythe head in front of him before kicking it back up towards the ninja, whom didn't have anything to step on so it'd likely not be able to avoid at least a grazing attack.

"Ismiri? Are you safe? I awoke and left the ship to find you only to find this vessel is full of Grineer. I know Ana requires help but to bring her to the enemy. I don't understand."

Ismiri had looked around for the duration for Caldor. While walking and eyeing the rooms, she spoke to him.

"Caldor, this is The Crucible. Even though the Grineer aren't friendly, some can be exceptions." She said. "In this case, they are. The leader here runs an arena, which people contest in, if they so choose."

Turning into a corridor, she saw the white Rhino Prime.

"There you are!" She said a bit happily. "I was looking for you! I'm sorry about bringing you into this."

She gave a small yawn and stretched.

"The Grineer here are friendly unless provoked. They are here to watch contestants and bet on fights against people. Humans, Grineer, Tenno, Corpus... et cetera. As for why I traveled here, this is the closest place. I know that it is a little crazy to say that they are friendly, these ones are."

She walked away slowly, enough for Caldor to catch up.

"I'll be on my Liset, sleeping... I've spent a good amount of time keeping Ana stabilized, but I think you might want to ask one of the guards to see her status." She said. "If you want to keep yourself preoccupied while I sleep, that is fine. Just give me a heads-up on what you're doing."

"I really can't see why you would be worried for that betrayer. They take care of their own. And THAT level of intimacy that you were engaging was far from healthy in more than one way." Birk said and took another sip of his drink. He didn't have any high thoughts about this CEO. To him it was a wonder that his competition hadn't killed him off yet. Though again, that may be the drink talking and he might have missed some detail that might say otherwise.

Daj gave his friend a quick look. He wasn't too comfortable with Birk talking like that to a social superior. Executives, company owners and the like had a tendency to make your life hard if they thought you were disrespecting or just too noisy.

"That Volt that brought her in didn't look after her. I agree I may have gone... too far, but I couldn't have left her with them. What with they wound up experimenting on her? Can you honestly say what Alad did was right?"

Jaro came back, drink in hand, with a resounding "Yup!", sitting down at the chair and taking large gulps from his drink, receiving a glare from Zhon and a helmeted stare from Zeon.

It did strike Caldor as rather odd that there were "exceptions". He however was not going to argue since Ismiri and Ana were the only two people he knew in this new era he awoke in, it was best to take her word for it, as she certainly knew better. But the talk of the arena sparked his interest, Caldor was a warrior at heart, he loved nothing more then a good fight. This arena sounded like the perfect place to display his power and also become stronger.

"You've certainly earned a rest. But an arena you say? I don't believe I'll have a hard time at all keeping myself occupied. I love a good fight. What more can you tell me about it?"

"Well that is the basic synopsis of the place." Ismiri replied. "I think you can apply, but you would have to ask the big man himself."

She yawned.

"Sorry about that... I'm not really good with explaining when I'm tired."

She gave Caldor a pat on the back as well smiled at him, but well, he wouldn't really see it.

"I'll be on my Liset. I think you would want to talk again to one of the guards, maybe he could point you in the right direction."

With that, she backtracked her steps back to the docking bay, heading into the Liset.

'Time for some actual rest...'

The Ninja was thrown back and nearly fell off the branch but the Fangs kept them somewhat on the branch, however they did appear to be struggling as they tried to get back up, shaking their head as they tried to regain their sense before attempting to get back on their feet!

Van's aim however ends up making them loose one fang due to the Kunai hitting the hand, the Fang keeping the Ninja on the branch was holding on tight so far.

Van's scythe missed the Ninja but planted into the branch, seeing the ninja fall mostly off to the side of their battleground. Performing yet another back-step so his back was almost fully against the trunk of the tree, he pulled his weapon free. He then stomped at the fang that the Ninja was using to keep itself attached to the tree.

This would hopefully cause them to fall off, and if so Van would follow, stepping off of the branch and keying a dive-bomb exhausting himself even. But he didn't aim to crush the ninja underneath himself, but instead off to the side so that his trailing Scythe blade would cut the ninja in half. If the attack was successful he'd flip and land on his feet in a kneeling stance with the bottom of the scythe's shaft planted on the ground, allowing the weapon to stand on it's own with Van's shoulder as the prop.

Van doesn't quite make it to the Ninja in time to deal a killing blow, instead they end up crashing into the branches of more trees and landing back first on the forest floor.

Van may notice that the Ninja was still breathing but they wouldn't make it with the injuries they sustained, broken bones, internal injuries. Even he must know that the commander would just shoot them rather than give them help.

Van stood and walked over to the Ninja, planting the Scythe in the nearest tree he took up his Ballistica, "You fought well, deserving a warriors death, you'd make many proud if you were a Tenno, and I would have been honored to have died to your blades. Now your time is up, you will be given proper rest, and you will fuel those that come after you."

He knelt next to them, "But first, I ask your name."

Vega Krell watched and awaited the killing blow...

Van gave a small nod before standing and aiming at The Hound's head, "I return you to your pack." A silent sound was heard as his weapon discharged a bolt into the Ninja's skull. Without any hesitation Van put his weapon away and Retrieved his Scythe.

With the Ninja's death, The forest turns back into the arena and the Hound turns into ash and dust.

Krell stood up and called out "WITH HER DEATH! THE CHALLENGERS REWARD IS TEN THOUSAND CREDITS! BUT THERE SHALL BE MORE IF THEY WISH TO CONTINUE! WHAT DO THEY SAY?!"

Now knowing that the Grineer aboard this "Crucible" were not the enemy like those on Earth Caldor thought he would give this arena Ismiri mentioned a try. He approached the first group of Grinner he spotted and asked them politely. "Would ethier of you be kind enough to point me in the direction of the arena? I've gotten a bit lost."

The Grineer troops looked to the Rhino Prime and pointed him to a nearby "Second Floor, then look for the Arena recruitment officer, he's usually in-front of the large doors to the Arena. Or you can head up the stairs from either side and head to the bar, your choice really Tenno" Replied one Grineer Guard.

Meanwhile, The Grineer Doctors quickly set about fixing up the broken Mag Prime, but the amount of damage done and the limited cybernetics to repair her broken back they had may see Lia leaving the Crucible in a hover-chair.

"Thank you." Caldor replied as he made his way to the 2nd floor. And just as the Grineer said there was another Grineer standing at a large pair of metal doors. Caldor approached him in the same manner as the Grineer before. "You're the Arena Recruiter yes? I'm here to participate."
