Nimfix Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I think this rank 7 to 8 test is broken, the jumping and running on walls is still to rusty and doesn't go smooth at al. It doesn't test "your" skill its more of an annoyance and I've practiced alot and I keep failing each time with each different warframe.I guess luck is more involved in this one then skill. it should be fixed, or find something new.
DarthRevan84 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Seems fine to me, completed that same test for rank 15 (They share the same wall run test).
xlraistlx Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) I passed it at the first try with Loki and Straith. I saw no problem doing it. Maybe it does test skill after all... Edited March 16, 2014 by xlraistlx
BrainInvader Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Did it with rhino/soma/magnus/orthos prime...fell once...it was easy...
Momoynator Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 As glitchy as wall running feels, its not broken. You can still do it pretty easily.
Guest Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I passed it on my first try, only fell once. What I did was look up on the Wiki what it was about and how to do it, followed the advice there, and that was it. Scientia potentia est.
Noble_Cactus Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) - Use a slow frame. No Rush mods. - Use an Ignis. Soma, Synapse, and other similar weapons work as well. - Turn on "hold to wallrun" or whatever it's called. Less button presses = less likelihood to mess up - Bring a coptering weapon just in case you fly off the walls at weird angles. They can save you if you're just shy of making a checkpoint platform after the vertical wallruns. I failed it once because my Vauban went sailing through a wall and because I overshot some of the checkpoint platforms after the vertical wallrun. WF's parkour is... iffy at times, to say the least. DaftMeat Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Parkour is buggy for some people on the test maps. If wall run is not kicking in, drop all graphics to the lowest settings right before you run it again. That's what I had to do to pass any parkour related tests.
zebar1313 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Tis easy, go to a dojo and practice in the obstacle course for a bit.
Marshall Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Using a slow warframe is key. I did it with Rhino.
xlraistlx Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I did it with Rhino. OP should try Rhino with Thrak helmet and hobbled dragon key. But with Acrobat & Quick rest + Marathon or Redirection + Shield Flux.
Nimfix Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) Alright, thanks for the advise. It just feels so stupid the wallrunning I mess up at parts where I have to go up, but it randomly goes sideways. (this happens everytime for me), I make good use of my mouse etc where to run, Edited March 16, 2014 by Nimfix
TC-Guardian Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I did mine with Rhino without any speed mods but I think I had vanguard on.

This prevents you from falling straight down.
ThePoopHunter Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 i ran through fine with loki, you get to fall off 3 times for free. the bit to watch out for is the one where you have to wall run on two sideways platforms in a row. make sure you have the stamina mods.
Bearssi Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) Read about PS4 players having difficulty with this rank test and was scratching my head what makes the test difficult. I use a controller on PC in Warframe and only thing i had to change on button layout was aiming and jumping/wallrun not being on same side on the controller, jump is now left bumper and aiming the right thumb stick. I am as accurate on controller as on a mouse and usually max out the aiming speed. I used Saryn and Soma. Fell once but that was allowed. Exciting rank test for sure :). DalaiLlama Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 This test was fun the first two times I failed this, spent the greater part of two weeks failing over and over. In the end, I resorted to a full caster/range build on a loki with energy siphon and decoy teleporting through the entire map. Took quite a while letting my energy regenerate.
