Soma Max Damage Build?

Hi I just recently got my Soma and I'm about to do a third forma. And this is the build I have planned to try and get max damage when doing tower missions and was wondering if I did a good build or not and would like some suggestions.

My honest suggestion is swap out Cryo Rounds for Hammershot (+Crit Damage, +Status chance) to maximize your crit damage or swap it out for infected clip if you really need/want the cold damage boost.

Just think of this. Ammo. Dps. Crits. Then use elemental accordingly.

For max damage during Tower missions, you want to focus first on Corrosive damage, as it partially ignores Gunner's armor and has a +75% damage bonus to them.

 

Personally, I dont like Heavy Cal on the Soma. I would instead exchange it for Shred, which allows you to get the proper elements fitted.

HCal reduces your chance to deal head shots, which have a 3.9x average multiplier for the Soma. It especially makes it hard to use at range.

Shred will drastically reduce the spinup time, getting you to peak DPS sooner. It also allows for hitting multiple targets, and doesnt drastically reduce effectiveness at range like HCal does.

 

Proc rate doesnt matter so eventually, for high levels, exchange Cryo Rounds for Stormbringer once you get your next Forma (or after ditching HCal).

This will give you more DPS against Corrupted Gunners, but a bit less damage against Corpus targets.

 

For the Forma you have on it now, and wanting to use HCal, the build is perfect for T1 and T2. For T3 you would want to ideally slot in Stormbringer instead of Cryo Rounds, but you would need another Forma. You may slot in the Cicero toxin mod instead, but you might not have access to that.

 

If you swap in Shred instead of HCal, you can get http://goo.gl/a9vGL0 which will do approximately 28% more Corrosive DPS.

this works better
