Do Ping Limits Actually Do Anything?

I have my ping limit set to as low as it will go, I think 100.  Why am I still connecting to terrible hosts?  I mean, enemies stuck not moving, jerking back and forth, squad members running in place for 20 seconds, resources floating in the air, literally standing on a blue orb for 10 seconds without it ever getting picked up, I shoot my ogris and nothing comes out, then 5 seconds later a rocket with no sound goes flying out randomly.

I can't stand lag and feel at a 100 ping, I should not experience the things I do.  Does that limit actually mean anything, because it seems I connect to crappy hosts more times than not.

There should be an option to automatically join a mission like it does, or choose "start new" so you can start a new mission as the host.  The only way to do this now is to go solo, invite only, or if the message pops up that you're ping limit is set too low.  Love that message.  Too bad I usually get connected to a laggy host before I get that message.

Ping is not the only thing that affects online game play. Since games are hosted by players and not a server, the hosts upload speed and download speed can cause lag. Even though your ping is fairly good with the other player, their upload speeds restrict the amount of data that reaches your computer from the game they are hosting.

I just choose to stick with the default 300 ping limit, it hardly seems to make a difference compared to people with low upload speeds.

Theres something really wrong with Warframes networking though, for example, when playing Titanfall earlier, the lobby showed all 12 players had a ping of less than 20, and the game was unbelievable, so smooth.

An hour ago, with my ping set to 50, Warframe was unplayable 3 games in a row. I know WF is p2p, but this is mad.

Titanfall uses servers so of course it is going to have a really good connection.

Warframe has no game servers it uses a pier to pier connection.
