Kynian
Before anything, I'd like to try and get everyone in the same page I am for this story. It'll try to explain everything in the warframe universe as it is seen ingame. Stuff such as "are frames individuals or is it a suit of armor?", or "what is mastery level?", or "how do tenno look". If you have topics of things you find ingame that you feel are obscured in any way, feel free to post a suggestion, and in the next chapter (if there is a next chapter at all, depending on how it's received), I'll try to tackle it. The story assumes that "you" as a player ingame is the leader of a small team, usually of two Tenno, a male and a female one. Although some "squads" may have as many members as a clan by itself. That said, let's begin! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *knock*knock*knock* "There it is. I knew she would send someone again." -- You may enter. It was a young man, most likely barely in his 20s. He was nervous, I could tell. As if the Lotus had sent him to track down that maniac who's been killing our brothers. -- G-g-g... Grandmaster! T-t-t... -- Get your act together boy. What does she want? -- Sir! T-t-the Lotus requests y-y-y-your presence. -- Message received. Tell her that I owe nothing to her, and my debt's been repaid many times over already. If she wishes to see me, she may come. Relay that to her, word for word. Now leave. He nodded and then, as if I had said "your life is spared", he wasted no time in getting out of my chambers. It troubles me greatly that I'm being feared by my kind. Not the fact that I'm being feared in itself, you see, but the reason why it is happening. The Lotus. "All Tenno owe her a debt of gratitude, that's a fact. She woke us up as we were being hunted by these "grineer" and "corpus". But why? Most of my brethren now treat her as a deity, as if she is to us now, what the Orokin were to us before. Troubles me that they can't even remember that we hated the Orokin, but served them because we were honorbound to them. We have no such bounds with the Lotus... and yet, my brothers and sisters are worshipping her." As I meditaded on these thoughts, the holo-communicator rang loudly, flashing red. The sign of an emergency call. And, of course, it was her. -- Thought it'd take a few more minutes for your lackey to relay my answer to you. -- Why is it that you spite me, Grandmaster? Why must there always be a bridge between us that you want to burn so badly? -- Cut it. As I said to your lackey, you want to talk to me, you meet with me. -- ...Fine. But I did not call you flashing a red to talk trivialities with you. It's an emergency mission that... -- Send one of your lack... -- It involves a Stalker. When she mentioned one of those A******s, she got me. One of them almost killed Razan before escaping. I've been trying to track that specific one for a while now, with no luck. Killed three of them, fought a fourth but he made his escape. Wasn't the one I was after anyway. Regardless, this one could be the one. I knew I couldn't give in to my pride now. I really wanted the info. And, of course, she knew that too. -- ...Go on. -- He's been sighted repeatedly on the Orokin Vessel we most recently discovered. Wiped out three teams soon after they reported sighting him. Two survivors from the fourth team. That all hapenned 2 days ago. -- Send me the coordinates. I'll hunt him down. -- I'll give them to you, if you lead the 5th squad I'm assembling. -- Well, I don't have a choice do I? -- Kynian, we're on the same team here. Coordinates sent. *I took a quick gander at my operational inbox* -- Received. Get the squad ready in an hour. If they are not ready by then, I'll leave without them. I'm suiting up and heading for the stingray 47. -- Very well, good lu... *call terminated* "Woops. Shouldn't have done that. That was immature. No matter. Let's see if this new... well, OLD tech can actually surpass my favorite suit. Rhino Prime, is it?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***The stingray is the ship you board at every extraction, and the one that drops you on planetary missions. That's it for the pilot. I originally planned to write a lot more on the pilot, but as of the time of me writing this, it's getting ridiculously late here, and I should really get to bed. I'll check in later and may either make a "chapter 1" or edit this one and continue. It'll depend on feedback though. If you read all this, thanks a lot.
