Change Sweeper Vacuum To A General Sentinel Mod

Hi all,

What do you guys think of this idea.  I think the vacuum on the sweeper makes us lazy.  It also makes us use the same sentinel 99% of the time.  We can now swap the weapons around so how about changing the vacuum to a generic sentinel mod.  I know I'd cycle through all the sentinels if we did that :)

Not sure I follow your logic on the first point... "this mod makes us lazy so lets make it more available!"?

That said... I support this idea. Heaven knows I'd like to use other sentinels, but Carrier is so handy for loot that's fallen over handrails or into niches between objects where the frame refuses to pick it up. Not to mention not having to divide attention between pickups on the ground and enemies on the crosshair makes life much easier in the more hectic gamemodes.

I've been thinking this for a while. Make vaccum universal (but it MUST be placed in one of the precept slots to function), and make carrier have the ability to increase common/uncommon resource drops by 5-10 percent. So if you find 100 nano spores, you find 110 instead. This would have a like...extremely low chance that when he picks up a rare resource like an orokin cell, that you could find 2 instead. Suddenly, carrier has a unique niche as a farming sentinel, and you can use other sentinels because they still nab your loot AND murder things/cloak you/etc. That being said, I'd love to see a medic/buff sentinel that not only uses guardian, but could throw up ablative shield increases (ala shield osprey shield buffs for you) and can heal you small amounts of HP periodically (or even be able to revive you from down once every 10 minutes or something) That or he can assist other warframes in getting you up (so he helps with the rez process and throws an ablative shield up on them while they're rezzing you). The current problem is, the carrier is so damn convenient that I can't be bothered to use any other sentinel for fear that I'll miss mods/loot and the convenience of not having to walk directly over ammo/energy pickups in tense situations.

No reason to bring Carrier if you allow all sentinels to use Vacuum.

Why not giving Stealth to all sentinels too so i can stop using shade then?

that's the same... and it's wrong imho.

Furthermore you do not provide anything to fill the hole that Vacuum would leave

Increase drop of things for a new Carrier mod is even WORSE. Then everyone would be like "MAKE THE CARRIER MOD UNIVERSAL" again.
