Blatantfool Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 >Waste a mod slot to survive a trap. Still pretty silly, bro.
xShadowsaur Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 The real solution: Grineer custodians changing the damn lightbulbs and replacing them with better quality ones that don't break and become tesla coils.
izzatuw Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 >Waste a mod slot to survive a trap. Still pretty silly, bro. Blatant has spoken
LordBeeBrain Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) Funny thing is, I've never actually been killed (or seriously hurt) by a broken light before... They always seemed to just take a little nibble out of my shields. Edited March 18, 2014 by xZetsumeix
Tulzscha Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Looks like you're trying to help so I'm moving this to the proper section. However, wasting mod slots for this isn't really the solution IMO.
Enmity666 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 ^ Agreed. Please remove the damn lights, DE. They make no sense. They're far more dangerous than a batallion of Grineer marines. They also make Squishy warframes suffer too much.
DeeplyBlond Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 My fully modded Nekros with maxed Quick Thinking and Rage combo + max Flow got two lightning strikes in one room and survived but just around the corner were two more broken traps of death... This is not right... Just is not...
LukeAura Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) Am I playing a strict rpg or an action game? If an item/mod is the only solution than this game has failed at being an action game. Edited March 18, 2014 by LukeAura
BoomyGordo Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 We should not be forced to used a mod just to survive a certain faction's tile set.
dyrak55d Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 i just wanted to help you if you have problems with them and that mod helped me to survive on Ceres invasion
WoopWoop Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 A good solution imho would be that they could only do shield damage. Then its anti rushing but if youre careful you wont die.
(PSN)Darkseider Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 A good solution imho would be that they could only do shield damage. Then its anti rushing but if youre careful you wont die. Anti-rushing... yeah that makes all the sense in the world. Especially when you consider we are playing a third person action game based on space ninjas that wield incredible powers and wear physically enhancing body armor. Where the movement and survival is based on speed, there is a RUSH mod, and the primary form of getting around with this speed is parkour. Yet they want to do anti-rush? Kind of pointless don't ya think?

Well for me i dont mind rushing but keep in mind you are not the only player and i know lots of people who like to take their time doing a mission and not ending it asap. And as far as i know i never had problems with these broken lights, EVER. not even on nova.
xShadowsaur Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Courtesy of Yuikami: Broken lights make cheap traps @w@ Wow, the Grineer are actually greedier and more cheap than the corpus. Says a lot.
WrathfulTurtle Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I think this helped out alot and you guys belittling him isnt right because all his trying to do is help and also if you dont like the broken lights play against @(*()$ Corpus Of Infested and Stop *@##$ing its a trap so be it.
Somedude1000 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 As an alternative, I try looking for the lights before they get me. Noobly but hey, better safe then sorry Also the moment you realize that poor maintenance is better than lazer doorways with turrets and cameras and insta spawning robots.
ZaraaK Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) i just wanted to help you if you have problems with them and that mod helped me to survive on Ceres invasion That's cool, and for some people it may indeed help. See bellow. I think this helped out alot and you guys belittling him isnt right because all his trying to do is help and also if you dont like the broken lights play against @(*()$ Corpus Of Infested and Stop *@##$ing its a trap so be it. I am not sure anyone was belittling him. The general consensus however is that those cards are far too limited in utility to be worth the mod slot. People disagree with him but no one was (or at least shouldn't) be holding it against him for trying to help and starting a constructive conversation. Actually the only person belittling anyone is you. I think a big part of the reason is tesla coil lights makes about as much sense as exploding bridge consoles, a trope popularized by Star Trek, and let me tell you, exploding bridge consoles are $&*&*#(%&. They have no basis in mechanics, engineering, science or logic. They are there purely to create tension and drama by providing a physical danger to characters on screen. I personally would just focus on getting redirection up as high as possible. When you are rocking large enough shields those lights become annoying, but nothing more than that, and of course those shields will protect you from everything but *grumble* puncture damage. Lightning rod only protects you from maybe 2 or 3 percent at best of the damage you will take in the game. Edited March 19, 2014 by ZaraaK
Sloan441 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 It's a trap. They're visible and easy to shoot out...IF...you actually look around a bit before charging into a room or down a hallway. Situational awareness... Frankly, I don't much bother myself. I usually run substantial redirection and vitality mods, so there aren't much of an issue, especially on a 'frame like Zephyr. There is a disturbing trend of some people running at base shields/health to maximize power in a 'frame. These are the ones I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time reviving, and not just from stepping on live wires.
ZaraaK Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I noticed the traps today. Previously I had only run into the broken lights and that was what I was talking about in my above post. Sorry for the confusion, we were talking about two different things. The traps I am ok with, they have logic in doing what they do. The lights don't (when they do the same thing).
