Question

I can't believe I never knew about them until now. I know they help you obtain resources but I'm still relatively confused as to how they work.

Can someone please clarify this for me? What are they? What do they do exactly and how do you use them? Why doe anyone use them and are they worth using?

Extractors are little robot thieves which you send out to steal stuff from corpus/grineers pockets. Some times you get good stuff like Orokin cells or Neural sensors but usually its common resources. Its good way to get nice amounts of resources for free.

How to use em: 1.Buy bp from market 2.build it 3.click planet 4.click "deploy extractor" 5.wait 6.profit.

Normal extractor takes 4 hours to empty corpus crewmans pockets and new Distilling one takes 8 hours to do that.

It is said by thives guilds grandmaster that Distilling Extractor has better stealsensors for good stuff aka rare resource so they tend to bring those precious Orokin Cells more often.

They are worth.

Just remember to take care of em cuz they get very tired and vanishes if you dont give em hollidays after hard work day.

They take their off days and vacation days very seriously. But, those two tenno above pretty much summed it all up.

FYI, if you create twice as many extractors as you can deploy they will never be destroyed as you always have a 100% health one to deploy.  Yes, this costs additional resources initially but it will offset these costs over time from never having to replace them and always having the maximum number deployed.
