Tenno Running From G3...

You know that isn't surprising! In fact it is exactly what you would expect from people of that sort of caliber.

Anyway I am starting to wonder why am even bothering with WF any more as most of the people I have talked to etc since I started playing are leaving the game with no intentions of ever returning.

I have only been blessed with the opportunity to fight them once so far. I can't even seem to get another death mark, despite how many Corpus invasions I do.

That said, I practically solo'd the whole thing, everyone else, even our Rhino, was having a hard time. I was Ash, and melee'd the three of them to death with unmodded Ether Daggers I was leveling at the time.....it was quite sad really. I didn't even use my other abilities. I also managed to revive everyone several times.

That said, I'm mastery rank 15, and don't expect other players to be able to do what I do a lot of the time. and am impressed when they do. that said, it would be in your best interest to pick stealth frames against the G3, as they cannot see invisible units. anyway, I hope people aren't running away from them when I see them again, I still need to scan the three of them 2 more times!

as for these "stalker bosses", I think DE should consider nerfing their damage slightly, and buffing their health even more. It would make them only slightly less intimidating, and yet they would be much more engaging, as you wouldn't drop them instantly with a maxed out Paris Prime etc.

Running away is lame.

Just stay and fight!

As for letting people die/bleed out, well you don't always have the oppertunity to revive someone, if the G3 is breathing down your neck, remember that.

I made that mistake the first two times, I died when reviving someone when G3 was near me, thought I'd make it.

Never again if they are close. :P

Luckely I've never lost to them, first two times thanks to teammates though. :D

  • 2 months later...

I've encountered the G3 five times. One of those times, I managed to win. The others? My team mates ran away. I've noticed this more and more - Tenno abandoning other Tenno, and not just against G3, but also when it comes to being downed. This doesn't feel like the same Warframe I used to play - where Tenno would help out other Tenno, instead of having AFKers leech and rushers just run by as their team mates were downed. No one I played with would run from the stalker. So why run from G3? Why abandon your team mates?

I don't get it.

The 2 or 3 times I met them, my teammates stayed and fought to the last revive/ until the combined power of 4 ultis killed them. Maybe I got lucky with my teammates. Though for stalker, I try kiting him but stay so far away (traumatized by his hate) I arrive to see the last shot done to him.

As for being revived by/ reviving downed teammates, all I can say is don't get separated or surrounded too badly.

We don't run away, we merely dictate range, so as to combat the G3 more effectively, who are dangerous up close.

It's called tactics. I've encountered them three or four times and they haven't yet managed to break my shields.

As to not reviving other players: trying to revive them while the G3 is chasing us would result in failure 100% of the time, as the G3 would have to be close to have downed the player in the first place. That is detrimental to success.

The G3 teleport to you if you're too far away, besides their Slash Dash-like movement. That, or they teleport you back to them, I can't remember which it is.

If it's a PUG, then that's the main problem.   Just because you end up on a team with someone doesn't mean your objectives are all the same.   Don't confuse being in a PUG as being on a TEAM.

But there are too many reasons people do what they do for any of us to assume what we see them do is what they actually intended on doing.   For example, if you catch me running away while your fighting stalker, G3 or harvester, chances are I somehow miss the flashing lights and just didn't know they had spawned.   This easily happens when the lights flash while I'm in a huge firefight with enemies like bombards, napalm, disruptors, mulitple corpus techs or grineer gunners and even fusion or railgun MOA's.   Those mobs usually have my screen flashing from taking damage or I'm spamming powers (like nova, volt etc.) that alter the lighting on the screen.   So there have been quite a few times where I simply did not see the lights flashing.

Also one other issue that is often overlooked.   Not ever player on your team is or feels strong enough to take on the assassins.   Yesterday I had equipped an unranked frame, primary, secondary, melee, sentinel and sentinel weapon.   Suddenly stalker shows up and I stood no chance, period.   No matter what  I wouldn't be of help either way.  One shot and I'm dead, can't revive anyone either without dying in one shot, not just by stalker but by the normal mobs nearby when stalker showed up.

Finally there is the most simple, yet overlooked thing.  FEAR!   People who have fear will instinctively run away until their confidence grows because that what fear does.  You can't change this. It's something they have to change themselves by gaining confidence that they have nothing to fear...it's just a game and if you die, you lose nothing but a bit of time.

So I know we all get frustrated and confused as to why people do what they do.  But never assume what you see people doing is exactly what they are doing or that you know the reason why they do what they do.   Seeing someone run away is different than knowing why they ran away.

This post deserves to be bumped to the top of a new page.

DC'ing is not 'tactics'. Running away and leaving your team mates alone is not 'tactics'. Team work is tactics. Luring G3 out into open ground is tactics. This? This is not tactics.

I begin to think the Grineer are right and Tenno have no 'honour'.

only some of us, based on past events. the rest of us are what the Grineer wish they could be

I know that feel. Was using my Vauban, gave the guys warning second the warning popped up. Everyone's saying that they'll help and fight, we get everything set up and then when the G3 show up, nothing, they just leave. I managed to kill two of them, tried to get them back with promises of the loot, didn't listen, I die fighting the last guy, and lose a Flow and Natural Talent.

Just pisses me off, we all could have benefitted by fighting together but because of their cowardice, they and I lose the Rare Loot and I have to spend 20 Oxium on the Anklet of Shame.
