In this thread I would like to talk and discuss about clans and their habits, ways, and what not.

I want to discuss about is: Is you clan a big part of warframe for you?

What tier is your clan?

Competitive?

Chilled?

Fun?

Just there for tech?

How much responsibility is it for a ruler?

Worth being ruler?

How much of your warframe time does it take if your socially involved and helpful?

With this added is there any tips veterans can give young/new rulers?

You do not have to discuss all of it but please do not get offensive, insulting or anything of the sort thank you.

CMC, Moon Tier.

Peeps r awsum. If I hadn't been in this clan, I woulda quit WF long ago out of severe boredom.

Be a ruler if you want, but, I think I'll be a pencil. (I don't see myself as the owner of the clan, just the founder)

It doesn't take much time to be involved.

Set up some intermediaries for contact and chats. Chat on yo phone when you're free. (skype is a bad choice, it lags liek mad, no matter yo wifi powah)

Tips?

If you want to keep activity, you need to clear the rosters every now and again and focus on invitations.

The possibility of a new active member is often preferable to the hope that old peeps might be active again.

Make your rules solid. Don't change them around when it suits you. :T

The fewer the rules, the better.

Good luck, mate.

I am in the clan Deathsong.

It is made up of several friend who all know each other from another gaming community.

Some advise I have to give is do not get stressed over clan stuff, it is easy to get lost in inter clan politics and get all wound up about it just remember that this is just a game nothing more.

shadow clan. happen to be a leader. its just a title and i dont care for it. had to write the rules. kept it simple. to be honest ive only met a few of the people in my clan (them time zones), which is regrettable.

I like just running missions with clan members just to kill stuff. i dont particularly care what. i usually supply the void keys when we run those missions. ( ill never run out of keys i dont think).

social aspect is important in warframe. keeps you around and adds more fun to the game. plus you got people to help you out!

What tier is your clan?

Moon tier. People tend to have the wrong idea about clans this big these days. You always see people figuring a clan like this is too big to mesh well. That is not the case.

Competitive?

Absolutely. We're also consistently #1. We win when we want to win. We want to win even harder when we've got a good rival on the leaderboard.

Chilled?

  Depends on what is up.

Fun?

 Quite literally the best.

Just there for tech?

Some of them. But this is perfectly acceptable.

How much responsibility is it for a ruler?

There is a high likeliness that it is more a stressful role than I give it credit.

Worth being ruler?

A player I respect, Wiawyr, did manage to turn this huge band of brigands and scoundrels into one of the most consistently successful clans in the game. I like to think that would be pretty worthwhile, at least I hope it is like that. It's been great.. RIP Wia. You free now.

How much of your warframe time does it take if your socially involved and helpful?

80% of my time in Warframe is spent in some level of interaction with my clan.

With this added is there any tips veterans can give young/new rulers?

Yep. Though I wouldn't be caught dead taking the reigns of a clan myself I've had plenty of years experiences with guilds and clans and groups of all different sizes. My opinion on the matter is so simple I'm pretty sure it is cliche.

Your attitude matters. It matters a lot. No clan member will be proud of a clan the leader doesn't seem proud of. No clan member will contribute to a clan the leader doesn't help keep moving. You may not be the kind of guy who takes events - or leaderboards - very seriously. That is fine. But for your clan? Do it. Get into it. Have some fun.

You are going to have to create reasons why your clan is the clan worth being a part of. You have to earn the right to call your clan unique. It isn't some impossible task, but you do have to work at it.

I'm in clan Warbros. You might or might not recognize that name, it really depends on how long you've been around.

We've managed to pull ahead on the leaderboards of every event except for one. Our guys bust their &#! for that. They do it because we've won before. We've already come out on top. So why slow down? Every time someone else shows up with the ability and desire to pass us by it only seems to rev the engines.

People say all kinds of inane crap about the Clan Vs. Clan attitude, pretending it is purely negative. I think these people need to feel the positive charge the push for a win causes. It is literally a roller coaster. So potent that it makes it child's play to ignore almost any grind. It is nothing short of a blaze of glory.

Gradivus Dilemma was amazing. I've literally never had that much fun with Warframe at any other point. The energy from the clan and community during that event was insane.

My clan plays it's &#! off every single event. When we win the flames only burn brighter. It is a clan worth being in. I can't expect to leave it and find another exactly like it.

So yeah. Little ranting. My 2 cents.

Much love to clan EGT. You guys are big winners too.

Even a bit for Crescent Moon, who seemed to give Warbros a shock during Tethra - a shock that kicked us into overdrive. A good rival to have.

What tier is your clan?

Mountain

Competitive?

-Most are in our clan, but we have a mixed group. The energy that comes from a win encourages those who would otherwise not be competitive to compete.

Chilled?

98% of the time.

Fun?

300% of the time.

Just there for tech?

-Sure why not.

How much responsibility is it for a ruler?

First lets call this position a head clan organizer, no individual should have a ruler and whenever someone tries to become one they quickly get chopped down.

Instead try to look at yourself NOT as someone who stands above the others with power,  instead look at yourself as someone who if lucky enough, may rise above the others only because they have lifted you up on their shoulders with pride!

As for the level of responsibility; As a founder of a clan, and a clan warlord you have a lot of responsibility to those who choose to be a part of the community you have created.

If you want to be successful you will need to tend to your flock, weed your garden and water your flowers.

By tending to the flock I mean you have to manage the community interact with the clan and show them you are attentive, productive and have goals you want to achieve even as simple as farming.

Weeding the Garden is removing those who have become inactive, recruitment should never end, rather it will go on short breaks in between purges.

Watering your flowers is the act of rewarding those clan members that have bloomed into the most precious additions to your community, it is these individuals who you value the most.

By default the Warlord of a clan holds the most responsibility of anyone in the group.

Worth being ruler?

It takes a special personality to take on the role of Warlord. Many will seek the position out of a lust for power or fame, others will want to make a group of leets to crush leaderboards, and then there are those like myself who simply wanted to ensure that I have friends to play with in Warframe.

No matter your motive, it can be worth it if you TRY.

I believe that the more work you put into something the more reward you can expect. This is true in my case and my clan. I have put a great deal of my time and energy into the clan and in return I have a great group of people who believe in me and seem to enjoy themselves in the community that we have created.

I created a clan to help make other people 300% hotter...I ended up with a group of rock stars who have made me 300% more satisfied than your average clan leader.

How much of your warframe time does it take if your socially involved and helpful?

If I was hardcore about it, I could spend my entire day working all the social angles that come with the position, much of that being in recruitment and responding to inquiries. The other part being just in clan talk and organizing events and activities to keep the clan active and engaged between events and updates.

With this added is there any tips veterans can give young/new rulers?

You have to work for it!

Roll with the punches in good or bad times, throwing your hands up in the air will get you no where.

New Clan formation is difficult and slow in most cases.

You can't expect to start a new clan at this point in the game and have positive results without a lot of attention and dedication to communication and shameless self-promotion.

When I first started my clan I spent the majority of my time in the forums. It was different back then before they split up clan sizes but the fact remains. It is a lot of work at first, once you can find some reliable help within your clan members you can really start to move mountains.

THE GOLDEN RULE: lead by example.

Keep a positive attitude and a good outlook on life in general. You have to have tolerance and the ability to accept every type of personality and lifestyle with the exception of those who are poisonous to your cause, and then you need to know when to excuse the wrong members from your group with discretion.

It is very important to always consider others before you make decisions, actions or comments to your clan. Everyone of your clan members is a person, they have feelings, hopes, dreams, and they demand respect and to be treated equally. Never let your EGO consume your ability to consider these facts and act accordingly.

Put yourself in the shoes of everyone you address and speak to them with the same respect and consideration you feel you deserve, realize they are what makes your clan, not you.

As a Warlord you provide a service, hopefully a great place for people to make friends and have fun. The clan members should provide you with respect and that is all you should expect.

Just know that your clan members are providing you with a greater service and that is fellowship with the selflessness of following your idea, which in turn is truly an exceptional return on your investment.
