I just recently got volt and am starting to love it mainly because its not as squishy as loki and not as slow as my frost,something like my excalibur but more devastating.I would like some tips on how to use him efficiently and my current loadout is primary= boltor/paris secondary=lex melee=dual ether/fragor(building). I would also like some suggestions if there are better weapons that compliment volt.

As active volt player I can advise you this:

 

Electric shield turns your boltor or any other projectile weapon into a hitscan.

 

I run the gorgon/wraith or sobek on my volt since of that nice and high impact stats to deal with shields (in high void missions).

I also formaed his aura to - so I can put corrosive projection in (that way 30% less armor really counts later on).

 

For secondary lex\aklex with puncture/corrosive is a great idea because I keep my primary for shields.

 

For melee I would advise something fast hitting like fang/prime, cleavers or ichors since when you hit speed you also get hefty attack speed boost. Dakra/scoliac is also not a bad choice here.

Any primary really works well with Volt because his electric shield turns non-hitscan weapons into insta hitscan weapons.  Secondary, whatever you prefer.  As for the melee I prefer a heavy weapon like the Ether Reaper, Jat Kittag or Galantine.  With speed they become devastating and really makes Volt shine.
