(PSN)bob92985 Posted March 19, 2014 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I just got done with yet another horrendously laggy and low fps mission on my PS4. Enemies "teleporting", game running at about 15 frames per second, disconnected from host right as mission ended and the game locked up at the stats screen for the mission.Are there really that many bad hosts on PS4? I find this really hard to believe. Are we going to be seeing new optimization soon? At this point I couldn't care less about account migration or updated content because how can I realistically enjoy said content if the game runs this bad? I did 2 missions on my PC last night with one being a 35 minute survival mission. Not a single issue, no lag, 60fps (and a PS4 is more powerful than my PC). So It's not my connection at all and I wouldnt just assume that the PC users I was playing with had better connections than those of the PS4 players I've been with. I've never had a single PS4 mission run as smooth as it does on PC. What the eff DE? P.S. This is probably going inevitably turn into a PC master race flame war. It may be in part to ill optimization on the PS4 end as well but you have to remember there is about 10 members of DE working on the PS4 version they need time, also the game is in Beta this stuff is par the course and will be improved in time. Have patience Tenno. I'm inclined to agree with you. But I've been searching the internet for help with this and I keep seeing posts dated in November. 10 people or not, this should be fixed. PC is also beta and this issue doesnt happen Well the problem comes in with the fact that say they do fully optimize the version and then a big update comes along and they have to optimize it again and again, So basically instead of doing a lot of optimization they do a few big ones which saves time. My problem with the ps4 opposed to my xbox 360 is that they dont have dedicated servers for anything (xbox live provides their own servers for all games) Though most companies still have a players as a host in order to sync everyone together. Even if the host has a good internet connection, if you are being paired with someone across the country (or out of country) the delay between you is much larger, and as a result, you lag. So its not hard to believe that you are having issues depending on what node you are paying. hell, some nodes you only have 4 people playin on. Not a huige host selection at all. It has only been in the last week that I have noticed extreme lag and teleporting. Myself and another guy did a 32 minute survival last night and the amount of infested on screen was phenomenal. However we didn't have any issues. Yet when my son and I get on together and he has his Zephyr it lags like a biatch when he spams his powers. Yep that is a common issue. If the host D/c's theres about a 90% chance the game will end. Though apparently sometimes you get the mod even though the game ended. I really wish they would fix it. This time the game kept going and luckily the reward for then 20mins rolled around was a focus mod, but streamline would really have helped, i need mods like no ones business. Starting over sucks... My buddy and i live a mile apart. If i host, everything is fine for everyone, if he hosts, then the rest of us lag too. Keep in mind that we have the exact same internet service. It does, thaough i think it has something party due to the fact that pc designed as rigs allow data to be processed much faster and without hangups unlike the PS4. also, most people who own gaming pc's/ people that play pc's in general tend to own fast internet in order to reduce their own lag.
