Any Chance To Have Helios Only Scan Enemies You're Missing?

in one mission my helios burned through 80 scans, all of which i already have :P minus prod crewmen (if they got scanned) annnd i just checked, and it does not look like it is recording what he scans even though i know he scans every console, barrel, and loot container i pass (also doing kappa runs so i wrote down the  number of scans i already had of enemies spawning there)

I'm assuming helios is a sentinel:

Personally, they should make a few versions of his precept:

Common version that comes with the sentinel: Scans everything

Uncommon version: Scans all objects

Uncommon version: Scans all enemies

Rare version: Scans only enemies/objects that you don't have complete

Rare version: Scans only enemies/objects that give you items for scanning.

No. Just...no. I don't need 5 mods of the same type to dillute the already ready-to-spill barrel that is the loot table.

It shouldn't scan objects you have scanned already, unless the environment "set" in the codex isn't 100% unlocked.

Neither should it scan enemies that are fully analyzed.

It's more of a convenience item for people that don't want to manually scan due to laziness or the fact that their target is probably not gonna let them scan them (Stalker, Harvester, G3) without actively trying to rip the Tenno's guts out. But it still should adhere to some rules to not waste resources.

True on that, but my point was more that we need some way to control how it works. Maybe by position? As in if it is in one location, it has one function and if it is in another, it has another function?

Some of us would want it to scan everything while some would want it to scan only certain things. The problem is trying to control what it scans.

Here is another thought. Have it instead of auto scanning, improve our codex scanner. Higher rank means better tracking (so if you start scanning and the target moves, you have a wider range of area that it can move without losing the scanning), better scan speed, better switch speed (to and from the scanner), etc.

As for the stalker, I have like 23+ scans on him already. And as for the harvester, no point (not hard to scan, just no point because it transfers to zanuka scans on the ps4). I would love to get some more scans on the stalker though without having to manually scan him. I use it as a sort of progress bar of how many times I've fought him since I scan him about once every 4-5 kills.

A sort of: I like fighting you so much that I'm going to scan you and then fight you. Edited by (PS4)ariaandkia
