How To Frost/frost Prime?

I still have much to learn in regards to warframe, so I'm curious; How do the Frost players out there use him. I want to hear How you use certain weapons with him and his skills, certain ways you build him for specific types of missions, etc. Also movement tips to keep up with others are appreciated as I'm not fond of the idea of constantly coptering to catch up and I don't think i have the mod space to throw in rush.

i set my frost up for damage and i mainly use avalanche to clear rooms, and snow-globe when needed though my frost prime is 2 formaed

I use the Narrow Minded mod to make the snowglobe small and one-person sized. Good for standing on top of boxes. :P

In it's current state most frost players only use Snowglobe, as it's one of the most useful abilities in the entire game, while the rest of his powers are lackluster. Having the most effective Globe possible eats up most of your mod slots and requires many a Forma and removing most Power polarities. Personally I always have Redirection and now Steel Fiber on to maximize survivability.

 

Weapons, well, honestly, you can use whatever the hell. Frost doesn't have any specific combos other than shotguns because of Snowglobe.

 

Movement with frost mainly boils down to abusing certain tricks like wall run spring-boarding, coptering, and slide jumps. Hell I often outpace my teammates unless they're Zephyr, but with the amount of time I have in this game I should be better than a good amount in that regard.

 

Snowglobe is just his best ability, using others is considered suboptimal, but in a damage build duration is the least important factor, and you can abuse the hell out of max efficiency and have more utilities like say Rush.

May I asked what lvl your Narrow Minded is? I'm a bit hesitant to use it as I've heard a max one won't protect anything

A max one will protect the defense objective, nothing more. You can counteract with Stretch though.

 

Right now, Frost should focus on boosting Snow Globe, where Power Strength and Efficiency are the most prized.

how about in the possibility where avalanche was to get back it's crowd control abilities that was originally considered a bug?

Basically, run along a wall, and then release yourself before you run out of stamina. Very useful since it literally launches you great distances. I have no idea how Frost uses a shotgun differently compared to other Warframes.

 

As for the "bugged" Avalanche, Range and Duration, which would make Frost too costly.
