What Was Your Big Warframe Moment?

Recommended Posts

For me, it was defeating Captain Vor on Mercury, alone. My Ash was level 13 at the time, and I had a hiding spot, Dethcube, and a prayer. The rest of the team had either used all their revives or just given up, so there I was facing him Tenno to Psychopath. After a good effort, my Sentinel ended up destroyed, leaving me to finish the job myself. Luckily, I had my Ballistica handy, so I would run out of cover, let off a volley, and then run back in, hoping I wouldn't run out of ammo. After about three minutes that seemed like an eternity, Vor lay dead, and I was victorious! When I was the only one walking to the exit, there was something very special about that moment, knowing everyone else had perished or aborted, and here I was, able to stand alone against the most difficult foe I'd faced yet.

So, what was that moment for you? Do you have a do-or-die story like I did, or is yours about clan solidarity and everyone got through to a whole new planet in one night? Let me know, guys. Regail me with your tales of glory!

The moment when I fought Lephantis for the first time, back when he was called the J2000 Golem the day the Derelicts came out.

I was wondering why there was no intro cutscene for the boss right up until the floor gave way and I found myself staring at the biggest enemy there's ever been in the game. Then I shot it in the face with an illegally-modified hullcutter.

My biggest moment was when Quick thinking, and rage was a thing. I remember having epic melee duels with Stalker... it was the best part of playing warframe, and made me excited every time Stalker shows up. Now... now stalker is boring cause we can only run circles around him while shooting... That was pretty lame of DE in that case... ruined the most epic melee duels in the game... Even if DE gave us melee 2.0 its not like I will be able to have an epic Cloud Vs. Sephiroth styled duel against him again with all those combos. More then likely he will whip out the bow, or use abunch of ANNOYING ABILITES before I can really get into him and have a REAL man to man duel.

The Stalker coming after me for the first time. I was a low level Excalibur with an MK1 Braton and I was alone to fight against him. I won, but I think only because he was level 1. I got the Hate off of him and I brought that weapon along with me as a trophy for beating him by myself even though I never really used it.

Beating Lech Kril for the first time with my 3 good friends back around Update 6. The fight took around half an hour, but damn it felt good when we finally beat him.

Holy cow, sounds like you were really entrenched. What an awesome time!

I was playing with someone I just met on the forums when he first came for me, and that was intense. His message popped and there was an "oh $#!t" moment, but then he either disappeared or my buddy tore him a new one. Either way, very cool that I'm now on his radar. But holy cow, JUST the MK 1 Braton? That doesn't sound enviable at all! lol

lol, The floor broke? That sounds amazing, I'll have to try for that. Currently working through Earth missions.

Sounds awesome, hopefully they'll fix him to be the challenge you once knew.

Gotta be when I finally got the last component from Lech Kril. This is back when frame components weren't a guaranteed drop per run, so farming that monolith of steel, ice, and fire took about 3 days of on/off hours. I'd say 30 or so runs. I hadn't upgraded from my Excal yet, and I was dying to get Frost. And it totally paid off.

Additionally, I now know how to lead Kril. And I'm pretty good at it.

The first time the G3 came after me. In a survival. When I was soloing for Orokin Cells. Yeah, didn't end well.

Oh god, lol, sounds painful! Well, at least you can call it a glorious defeat- not like you got smashed by a Corpus Mine you didn't see. That's embarrasing.

Solo'd the Stalker with my Loki once.

#LokiMasterRace! That's pretty incredible. What mods were you wearing?

Most of mine have to do with D/C's in defense missions.

Like getting a Berserker drop in a T2 defense mission and then loosing two of our guys. Had to duo the last few waves with just Banshee and Nova, both of us using meh weapons.

Wow, that sounds awesome. Banshee is definitely underrated, at least on the PS4 side. I saw one in a mission recently and the person aborted before I got to see anything in action. It was a huge disappointment. But Banshee and Nova... making those weak points and then throwing the bomb ball... Sounds pretty freakin' cool, I'll have to look for such an opportunity once the next update hits!

First time getting my Penta. At that point, I was sick of guns entirely.

But then, the Penta arrived and I saw the world burn. And I laughed uncontrollably. =)

WOO! PENTA! Even accidental self-kills are hilarious. I could never in good conscience use it in a team game unless I was in a trolling mood (Invisi-Loki is NOT responsible!), but setting up a series of solo room kills while unseen just sounds like icing on the warframe cake.

One of my favorite moments was late into survival on a higher level planet.  me and a rhino were surrounded and had a fallen team mate right in the middle of the enemy.  we had a mutual understanding on what must be done (I'm playing Vauban).  I loaded him up with like 20-30 lightning balls and he ran like the wind to our downed member (or as fast as rhino can go anyways lol), lightning is flying everywhere and I'm providing suppressing fire with the gorgon wraith.  we revive him and escort him to the exit...barely.

"It was Loki, it had been Loki, it is Loki, It will always be Loki. :)"

I used to blame/shout/hate Loki so bad when I saw "Desired by advanced players, Loki offers a variety of specialized reconfiguring abilities. The creativity of Loki's powers allows players to master the battlefield through manipulation." and chose Loki as my starting Warframe, that time Mag used to rock the battle. No enemies had resistance much compared to now, and her pull was penetratable through the wall. And Loki? had almost lowest (or lowest) shield and health, but at least not the armor.......I used scream blame REALLY badly at Loki, and I didn't have platinum to buy slots too....One day, I saw the realy beauty of Loki, finding his unique and best (for me) percept, Invisibility! And realizing that Loki is the FASTEST runner in the game. So....I'm still enjoying not being seen/shot. :)

But I remember myself defeating Vor too, with Loki when I used to hate Loki. I climbed on cheating spot XD and start killing/shooting Vor with MK-1 Braton, Lex! Wow....That toook long. I was stuck on Tolstoj for almost 1~2 month that time. Growing stronger and smarter by playing other missions unlocked before Tolstoj. Defeated him finally! I still remember the feelling when I enountered new type of enemy, Corpus! Their weapons are easy for you to die, so they are, Crewmans were easy to kill also. So....it was like 'killing or get killed'. I STILL remember. Loki with Lex, Cronus and MK-1 braton. :) That was my hard working and miserable (?) time.

Plus, complicated but I could not play Online. I was literally ON MY OWN with Loki.

Hahahaha I remember myself crafitng Fragor as my first CRAFTING melee. Didn't even know how the resource drop looked like, neither where the Gallium drops.

Lex was staying with me for long time though....I rememeber shooting enemies one by one in Gradivus Dillema. So sad.....All I got from Gradivus was ONLY mag coil helmet.....;_; I could get everything if Gradivus happens now.

Oh my god, that's amazing teamwork!  I also laughed really hard about loading a Rhino with Tesla's. OFFENSIVE TANK MAN GO!

So....it was like 'killing or get killed'. I STILL remember. Loki with Lex, Cronus and MK-1 braton. :) That was my hard working and miserable (?) time.

Yeah, he was my first, too, and I kind of regretted it after a bit. First try, he couldn't solo the beginning mission. Modded, he couldn't solo the beginning mission. Unlock invisibility, he couldn't solo the beginning mission. Was a "rogue" archetype really going to be this fragile? But then... I SOLO'D THE BEGINNING MISSION. Leveling, mod fusion, and generally learning the game, and Presto, victory!

That said, your battle sounds nuts. Not even an upgraded Braton... must've been one sweet victory! And yeah, FINALLY fighting something besides Grineer was a huge change. All the tactics were different. Shoot the shield drone, then shoot the guys. There's a gun on legs now. What the... was I just knocked out of running into that room by LASERS? Die, you stupid camera! All good times.

I was in a squad of random ppl with good gear. We stuck together close without a word and blazed through a dense group of high lvl Grineer heavies. It was epic because we weren't scattered all over like usual online matches and were synergizing dmg very well. I wish every public match is like that.

they are actually lol... Usually in a go to point A, and then point B mission though like sabotage.

A recent one will be a run in with the G3, I had no messages in my mailbox.

I was soloing with the corpus with my disarm Loki with my ignis and stug.

They just appeared without warning and I wasn't using my standard "just in case something appears" despair or brakk.

Now most run of the mill lokis will just perma cloak and cheese it out.

But being a disarm build requires you to be a baller, so my crutch invisibility lasted about 4+ seconds so it is of course useless to rely on that. What happened in the last minute or so was basically me dodging, toss a decoy in front of 1 of them,

He gets distracted, tag him with stug, while dodging the other 2 simultaneously and watched him poop.

It wasn't that challenging with a 4 forma stug, but it was a nice little challenge to break the monotony.

The first stalker run in is always the best though.

It was today.

Today, at MR 10, my biggest moment was for the first time having Stalker come after me alone and me not only surviving, but killing him with a random weapon I was leveling (Hikou). This was during the potato alert just a bit ago and I definitely wasn't expecting him to come after me for the 3rd time in 24 hours.

1st time I was alone, and he won.

2nd time I had a friend, and we won (i.e. was carried by friend).

3rd time? 1v1, mano y mano, and after a long and hard battle, I won: http://prntscr.com/32faro < you can see I took some hits

---

It's one thing to stomp the Stalker with your best, OP gear. But getting caught with your pants down and having to work hard for the victory is pretty exciting.
