ErudiusNacht
And most likely the last few gameplays I'll do. I started since July 2013, and though much more have been playing longer than I have, I think it's an achievement for me that I have never missed a log-in ever since Day 1. Sometimes, I just log-in, take a peek around and log-out, sometimes I grind for more than 8 hours. The latter was more prevalent before U12. I know there's going to be haters out there already thinking of how to shoot me down by this point, I'm not gonna point out my regulars, but we all have to admit, this game is in limbo. Some of us even had a (successful) civil debate about the status of the game and what it should be called (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/185797-warframe-beta/). The thing is, I believe the game development has stalled. Some of you are going to point out Interception, Hijack and the new content each week. Hey, they're great and all, I even buy into them. But is this going to be it? Core gameplay is still the same; mod yourself up and blast everything. Grind. Grind some more. Grind everything. I'm not going into the long details, all of us know about it already. Some ignore it, some enjoy it, and some just go away. I've seen lots of people come and go, and it's sad because the game has promise. Yes, SteamGraph shows that player connections are (kinda) stable, but I believe it's just the inflow of new players counterbalanced by the people who drop out. It's sad and disappointing. I loved Dark Sector. At the time of its release it was groundbreaking for me. And now we're in Spring (supposedly) of 2014, other games are popping up. Hek, they're already here. Titanfall just hogged the latest awards, MGSV is getting so much hype, and old favorites like TF2 and LoL are still growing. Warframe can compete. I know it. But it's slowly lagging behind the newcomers. I know they're from big money like EA, Konami, Valve and others, but they all started out small also, maybe except EA. Rebecca sorry for being, well, mean for before, and I just wanted to apologize before I (regretfully) retire completely from the game. If I didn't have wife and kid that I love, but I do, I'd go to conventions just to shake your hand. And maybe a selfie too. Thank you for your patience. Come on guys, we can step it up, can't we? P.S. Come on guys, I know people get tired when they run, and I understand what you did to Stamina. But please add a double jump. A ninja without double jump is like, like, well, uhm, not a ninja. SquirmyBurrito
Double Jumps don't make any sense. Plus, we already jump high enough.
-FrostByte-
you said development has stalled? melee 2.0 is just around the corner...
GuigoFrame
you said development has stalled? melee 2.0 is just around the corner... Yeah, "around the corner", they said that months ago Edited March 20, 2014 by GuigoFrame
Zhoyzu
double jumps defy physics and are pretty much impossible. also BYE

The thing that could possibly buy me back to play warframe regularly is Melee 2.0. The only "core" gameplay improvement thus far.
Bazools
you said development has stalled? melee 2.0 is just around the corner... It's been just around the corner for months now. Development has been stale for months now... and transparency.. uh don't even get me started on transparency. Rebecca and Megan are real troopers but these forums are being run with an iron fist, alienating your customer base is not a wise move in any business. Sometimes i really think that some people at DE think that we are all 15 year olds playing a game for the 1st time, sometimes their moves are insulting (clan tech on the market amongst others), so no wonder players are dropping like flies. Auxeus
We don't know what the devs is working on daily, hell i don't know even how many devs on each design department for this content development speed. But again simply pushing them won't achieve anything. My take is, come back every few months just to play and lurk around the new contents. This maybe not a great full time game to stick with. Jamescell
Maybe Melee 2.0 just wont be released. Maybe the corner goes on forever 0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0
SquirmyBurrito
I thought this thread was supposed to be a good bye thread. Why are people using it to argue?
king_ruckus
Double jumps don't seem to make sense for Warframe. I can't say I've ever felt like they were "missing" when I play. Staying on the topic of movement though, I would like to see them take out the automatic roll when landing from a sprinting jump, or change it to some other animation that isn't as long and doesn't cover as much distance. I've only been playing since the launch of PS4, and I know some of you PC players have been here since the very start, but it really seems as though the devs are pushing out a good bit of content. They also have plenty of stuff in the works. Melee 2.0 looks very promising, like a fun addition that can open up a good bit of new options or at the very least let you experiment with your style of play(yeah I know they've been promising it for months, but it's coming). The dog sidekicks or whatever they're called. Badlands, the new lobby system, new cosmetic items, new mods, etc. If they just dropped that stuff at random after a minimal amount of work and alpha testing people would complain that it doesn't seem to have a use. They have to implement whatever is necessary in order to make it feel fresh, but still have purpose. Give it time, man. Starting a "I'm retiring" thread doesn't really help things. Do you want a developer that maybe sees something like that and rushes out something half baked just to make you happy, or one that takes the time to do the best job possible? WarGrylls
IF YOU'RE GONNA LEAVE, THEN JUST LEAVE!!! ... Nah, I'm kidding... but eh, not sure why you're saying "dev progress has stalled". Didn't have the patience to see what Melee 6.0(devstream ref) is gonna be about... sadface. It's been almost a year now for me, and the wanting to see possible endgame from this beta is on its way. How long until? Well as complex as it can be for the devs in their line of work, I happily sympathize with the stressful workload and remain patient, although I'd rather see some lore along the way(they aren't perfection, so steps backwards at times are expected). Plus, I'm hoping to see some "NewGame+" kinda stuff for replay value one day... oh, and behind-the-scene stuff, cool work vids, and those "in hindsight" after-the-project-is-done collections... all in time's hands... GL and and blah blah-- oh! Can I have your platinum? AHH, I'm just kidding! XD ... Tough crowd... o.o'

TonyFoot
they said they were gonna release Melee 2.0 this month. If so, then its probably next week, or the week after at the latest.

Taranis49
you said development has stalled? melee 2.0 is just around the corner... As noted, they've been saying that for a while, right alongside claims like they want to reduce grind, etc. And while I'm perfectly willing to reserve judgement until it gets here, I'm not going to get my hopes up either with Melee 2.0, given it's (once again) a case of something which should be a core gameplay mechanic being unnecessarily tied to the mod system (and as always, mod slots are at a premium, which means it could flop pretty hard).
