Should I Get Zephyr?

Yes. I main Zephyr because she's so much fun. Durable shields, great and fun mobility, and Turbulence comes in quite handy when it's just hailing lead from all over. 600 Oxium might seem much, but it's definitely worth it.

Maybe.

On the pro side: SHE IS AWESOME AND I LOVE TO USE HER ALL THE TIME!

Con side: I'm feeling bad about the fact that I have every frame but rhipri, and effectively every other frame but nekros and ash are practically retired.

I'm seeing a lot of the upside, and little of the downside, so figured I'd throw my two cents in.

Zephyr is everything everyone said. Highly mobile, speedy, fantastic shields/health, and a good defensive power. Built out she uses very little energy so it's easy to get good use out of this stuff even without energy siphon. She has three good powers and only one that's not so good.

There are downsides however. Zephyr's ultimate is a useful crowd control, but it's very chaotic. It's not awesome CC like Nyx, and it's not a satisfying boom room-clearer like Nova. The tornadoes are useful and somewhat smart but there will still be uncontrolled enemies around. It also has a habit of scattering bodies and drops which can cause issues. (Need your necros to desecrate for life support capsules? Tornado makes that hard.)

Zephyr has three good powers for mobility, defense, and crowd control. But not offense. You'll be relying heavily on your gun to kill things. If you have a great gun, no problem. If you have a crappy gun, you're going to struggle.

Zephyr also has great air control - much higher than other frames. This can be hard to get used to both when you first get zephyr, and when you go back to using another frame ;)

So there's a well rounded picture. To be clear, I absolutely agree she's worth building. It's a solid frame and a lot of fun. She's become one of my two go-to frames that I enjoy playing (as opposed to those I keep around as a useful tool for a certain job).

Zephyr is just a FUN Frame, soooo mobile, good CC with the Tornados, Reflect Shield for survivability...

It's not the best Frame at anything, but quite balanced.

600 Oxium isn't even that much, just farm Kappa and level some Weapons there while collecting it.

I'd say maybe. I bought her and while she can be fun I don't feel the fun was worth the cost or the time it would take to build her. She isn't good at anything. Sorry, but Nova has way more utility. She has mobility for the whole team (wormhole) and does way more DPS. Dive bomb feels completely useless since even with maxed stretch, it seems to have a very small AOE, and does so little damage it might as well just be a knockdown. Tailwind has a cool down which means you often fall back to the ground before you can hit it again. Tailwind so far is nothing more than a super jump or a dash. That can make getting out of combat handy, but Turbulence can also get you out of a sticky spot. Her tornado ability is about the only thing I really like since it is one of the funniest troll moves I've seen. Enemies constantly get stuck in the ceiling, so when the ability ends there are a bunch of bodies stuck hanging.

Basically she's a jack of all trades, but a master of none. If you're looking for something fun and don't care about the money or time then Zephyr is your frame. If you want a frame that fills a specific role then I'd say move on. This is all just my opinion though.

Wait, which one is the bad one? You keep saying 3 good abilities? You don't like tornado? Heat seeking, long-duration crowd control with modifiable damage type(up to 4 at once!), hard-to-escape DoT, is bad? Because the nekros isn't savvy enough to know you can desecrate bodies in mid-air? Uh...

Dive bomb is the stinker of the crowd. It's not very useful.
