Affinity Indicator For Melee

Hmmm Last time I posted this but not many people noticed/gave attention to it, this time it will hopefully get some....(Probably becasue of my profile icon? Lol)

 

I was thinking, there IS affinity indicator for your Warframe, sentinel, your primary and secondary weapons.

 

So....why not melee? I've been leveling almost all the weapons in the game, now it's almost time for me to encounter my 'melee rotation.' Since I'm almost done with leveling primary and secondary. There should be affinity indicator for melee isn't it??....

 

Also, I think it might be better if there's exact affinity value showing in the game or in your arsenal....(Ex. Despair Level Unranked - 0/1000XP)

 

I believe melee is the hardest kind of weapon to level it up, (If starting from unranked, you almost no choice but to go to first planet, Mercury and start leveling.) You get knocked down, you get damaged/shot at. (Myself is huge fan of Loki, so I don't mind much, but my thumb hurts keep tapping the melee key.) And you REALLY can't help a lot if the melee is even suck. Such as....ceramic dagger? Dark dagger? Pangolin sword?....

side note:

currently, the best bet for leveling melee weapons is to just not use it at all and let your team kill things.

you just soak up as much xp/affinity as you can and call it a day.

 

not really the best thing mechanically or game play wise... nor was it really the best thing to do if they wanted people to actually use the S#&$ ton of melee weapons there are, but thats just how it is.

 

hopefully, melee 2.0 will be the cure all for everything that is wrong with melee.

given DEs past however... well, i wont be holding my breath.

As others said, Melee 2.0. Currently the reason you can't see melee weapon affinity is because you can't equip melee weapons in the same way as Primaries or Secondaries, so your weapon doesn't appear in your weapon tab, and thus has no affinity bar. Melee 2.0 will allow you to switch to using Melee weapons like your Primaries and Secondaries, thus you'll finally be able to see an affinity bar for them.
