This Deal Is Very Fair, And I Am Happy To Be Apart Of It

Ever get that feeling that every time we complain that the new player experience is getting worse, it gets worse?

Like first there was the Braton Mk.1

Confused noobs not being able to wall run (pretty sure they are still confused)

Stalker murdering you in tutorial (yeah that happened for real)

Enemies becoming harder

Enemies becoming more confusing to noobs thanks to elements

The lights killing noobs when they first spawned into a mission (fixed one of the few things that did get a fix)

Mastery test becoming too hard thanks to corpus appearing in in early test making it hard for noobs to complete until they get damn good gear.

and that list could go on, and on and on...

Reminded me too much of that robot chicken episode...

If you take a moment to replace lando with noobs, Darth Vader with DE, and fett, and the troopers back there with elite players... its funny, and sad at the same...

If the wording really bothers you so much, Newbies.

I always felt newbies was kind of insulting... noobs just sounded more fun, and friendly.

but oh well... everyone is different. Just a fun way to look at it even though new people don't see it as fun...

Word "Noob" used to mean just that. "New player". But internet turned the word into a derogatory insult.

Whoever did that, would only did it cuz he must have had hard time with some beginner where he must have played and probably frustrated about him so much, whether he was good or not, he would keep calling him with that word only, and there ya go...a new meaning added.

In an insult form

Interesting read.

EDIT: Tenno'd

But back on topic.  Yes, the new player experience seems to be getting harder instead of better. I hope DE will be fixing that with the new update, and that the update will be Soon ™

I actually made the suggestion that Mercury be turned into a tutorial planet in this thread; https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/197827-new-player-experience-is-bananas/page-3

I'd copy/paste, but I have no idea how to do the spoiler tabs.  : /

There's nothing hard to call some one a beginner , as pretty much everyone knows what does that mean obviously.

Yes, but I wish we would get back on topic about the issue at hand. We can talk about what to call new players on another post.

If this never was added in a different way, i wouldn't have been much concerned about it, as this is only for the sake of positivity than for " pleasure  " means of " fun " or simply for friendly means. Sigh....

Some of that stuff you complain about have been fixed, are in the process of being fixed, and no longer exist.

Some of the stuff doesnt make sense, how are people confused because some enemies have elements?

All enemies have a little description under their bar and after fighting them a couple of times you should already know what is going on.

What exactly are you looking for in a new player experience?

You should just elaborated on that instead of making a lists of stuff that apparently bothers you.

made me remember the guy who joined us in a MD and did what every mob hero did

"I kill stuff outside room to keep PC safe" Mastery Rank 5 RHINO user......

he clearly didn't know the real reason for the others being there......Exp,Loot,Main objective of PROTECTING the PC in a CO-OP game.

let me make it alittle more clear... Even pros are still confused on how elements work. Heck even enemies who say they are weak aren't really weak because their health defense is different from their shield, or armor defense. which some how stops other elements, but allows other elements. Then there is the whole impossible to get a load out to harm all enemies in the Void since those heavys require a specific load out. In the beginning players don't get fancy elemental mods, or fancy weapons with elemental effects right from the get go. They go head long, take a lot of damage, and find themselves working their way into a sponge fight with the Corpus the very next planet.

Braton starter weapon hasn't really been fixed if you think about it. New players are still struggling using a weapon that shouldn't even be used against grineer in the first place.

New players are still going to be confused. The computer doesn't have an accurate wall run system if you haven't noticed. Several times I have ran at a wall with enough stamina and not stick falling down. New players can have these same issues. Its equally as hard as Tron Evolution... and I DIED ALOT in that game from not sticking to walls.

Enemies have just been getting harder with every update. Their demands on weakness really hurt the new player gear set up.

I still hear of new players asking people for help on how to do the first couple mastery test.

Also this topic was made for fun to point out such a blaring flaw in the game. I white knight a lot, but I know when something is broken. I know its broken, and I think DE could really work at Mercury giving it lore, friendliness, more conversation. Possibly even little holograms set up by the Lotus on certain platforms, or around certain objects, even enemies with some word hints, or possible a hint screen popping up on the bottom, or maybe they can go up to it press a certain button and learn alittle about what they can do in this particular area.

Mercury as a whole could be so much more, and really bring new players in. Venus needs to be toned down abit more as well. As the first Corpus experience it real hits home that they need to forget helping grineer and help the more powerful team. The Corpus. Because those guys are brutal as hell. Heck the Hyena bosses ARE THE HARDEST bosses in the game. The only thing I can think of able to steamroll me. Every other enemy struggles with killing me because I can outmaneuver them(plus rolling is fun... not so much with Hyenas)

but yeah this topic was mainly a poke at the issue. I know there is issues, and you know there is issues. We all know it, and we have all spouted what we wanted at DE constantly Over, and Over, and Over again... I think we all get it, but its always healthy to laugh instead of stress out.
